yeah, I think Everclear is the standard.

An aqueous solution with an alcohol percentage of at least 20% and distilled/DI H2O in a dark vial, kept in a dark, dry and cool location.

Ideally you would want the crystals to be sealed airtight in a completely opaque container filled with a dessicent and argon gas, stored as cold as possible (°0 Kelvin would be nice ), as even the best solution will degrade over time.
But I suppose this may not be very practical so ethanol in brown glass in the freezer will do for a few years if need be.
