Benzos Best Sleeper !

Your definition of "too much" is already flawed.

I really hope that you don't hit the point where benzos suddenly stop working altogether, which tends to happen, because you'll be in for a world of hurt man.

I hut that point a long time ago mate lol, I've been hospitalised through W/D's , I am actually alright these days, 10mg Valium every 6 hours, although sometimes I like to switch to 2mg Klonopin, sometimes I like to combine Librium with my Valium, and Xanax does come in handy, not had it in a while mind you.

I've tried every benzodiazepine available in North America (including flunitrazepam and the other ones they have in Mexico and Canada that aren't RX'd here.

Currently, No benzodiazepine can put me to sleep. I am now one of the people who I swear I'd never become, taking antipsychotics just to fucking sleep at night. The benzodiazepines will only take you so far, short acting or long acting it doesn't fucking matter. Been on the shortest acting of them all, triazolam and midazolam, neither would put me to sleep. Even shooting midazolam had me black out but wake up within 15-20 minutes, and I was on a heavy dose of narcotics as well.

Please don't end up like me, I've been treating debilitating insomnia for almost 10 years now and I had the best luck with temazepam while it worked by itself, now I need a high dose of benzodiazepines, have to mix several of them, and have to also take an antipsychotic at doses prescribed for moderate to severe schizophrenia, so it's not exactly paradise and western medicine cannot cure the underlying condition that is causing your insomnia, if you can treat that, you can treat this. I can't even get off benzos, I asked my doctor months ago to lower my alprazolam from like, lets just say double digits PRN, to just 2mg PRN

When I just asked again, he says he is too afraid with my current state of mind and instability due to personal life issues to make any changes to my medications. Since my property and anywhere I go with my meds, allow me to, unlike supervised dosing at a methadone clinic, taper myself down off of xanax. However, Then my life went to shit as I said earlier w/ my current state, and I am now wishing I had more than 2mg a day but know inside how rapidly I would get tolerant, knowing my past with xanax I can't in good faith ever allow myself to take more than 10mg on a really really bad day. That's too close to the point where I'm back doing hundreds of mg per dose.

Seriously, there is no "best sleeper" besides a therapist not a psychiatrist, and if you're not getting these meds legally (i didn't fully read your post) then you lose your connect? You're fucked. Your only choice would be to go to the ER to prevent seizures that have killed many people during withdrawal.

Temazepam is the only benzo that doesn't effect REM cycles. Your sleep will suffer if you take anything else. Some may feel like they work better, but I would go with that one so your REM sleep is not disturbed.

temazepam is IMO as close to perfect as insomnia medication can get. shame it's also fantastic in higher doses recreationally, I can never let myself get another script of temaz, only benzo I really really enjoyed on a real euphoric level. but that's being an addict, I can't sleep at all a few nights a week because the only hypnotics that have ever worked are the fun ones and I can't trust myself haha.

I feel you mate, it's hard to take Temazepam sensibly when ur sitting in the house chilling haha, Valium different story, you know that shit's just medicinal lol

Yeah temazepam is such a nice feeling benzo. Never had a problem taking it sensibly, my problem is just simply not taking it. :\

The common practice these days seems to be prescribing sedative antipsychotics for insomnia. With a correct dose, you might not even get morning grogginess. Give quetiapine a try!

nothing works like ambien (zolpidem) for me... mental shutdown,
even in low doses (5mg)

Midazolams the best choice to knock you out (and for kicks.lol) but its halflife is very short, so if your insomnia features nocturnal awakings then something longer acting like temazepam would be better.
Also a good sedating anti-histamine like hydroxyzine or diphenhydramine in combination with a benzo is a killer insomnia solving combo.
Worth looking into aswell are the potent anti-histamine anti-depressants like amitriptyline or mirtazapine.
It sounds like you have an extensive benzo history so you would likely benefit from mixing a benzo and anti-his.

midazolam is Versed, it is one of the most short-lived benzos there is, and produces amnesia, it is NOT supposed to be used for insomnia. I can't believe the way people use their bodies like science projects. The reason these drugs are controlled is thst they are not safe to be used without medical supervision. good luck. I'm sorry but , the amateur pharmacologists on here might just get you killed , ask a licensed provider for help , which should include cognitive tools to increase your sleep hygeine. Mixing benzos? good way to die.

lunesta is the safest of the pseudo benzo crowd , trazadone can work, even gabapentin can work and all these are extremely safer than midazolam.

Ok so out of this list of Insomnia Benzo and Benzo Derivative Meds What Has Worked a Treat for you that you have tried?

I have access to all these, and I need a good strong sleeper, tablet form btw.

BROTIZOLAM 0.25MG

FLURAZEPAM 15 or 30MG

LOPRAZOLAM 2MG

LORMETAZEPAM 2MG

MIDAZOLAM 15MG

TRIAZOLAM 0.25MG

NITRAZEPAM 5 or 10MG

TEMAZEPAM 10 or 20MG

ETIZOLAM

ZOLPIDEM 10MG

ZOPICLONE 7.5MG

Even though I mentioned Nitraz, Temaz and Zopiclone, they do nothing in terms of sleep for me, I am thinking either Midazolam or Triazolam may just do it , but also think, of Brotizolam being it a Thieno, it could stack with Etiz another Thieno, Zolpidem is OK, I've actually thought about stacking that with Etiz and trying it, I have my anxiety meds under control and now I just really need a magic pill that makes me get a good sleep and feel fresh the next day, I exercise every day I just have bad Insomnia, had it since birth lol, Weed is another option although it kind of fucks with my head after a while so trying to stick with what I know , Benzos !

Any input of any good experiences with any of em would be great as I don't like wasting money, I have ordered a couple of things now that looked and sounded good and being disappointed. cheers ;)

I'd go with an extended duration z-drug. benzo's are actually REM sleep blockers like alcohol. you may sleep long, but you won't rest much and considering a lot of benzo's have long half lives, i'm sure you'd be groggy upon waking.

not sure if z-drugs block REM sleep but i was reading about the ambien effect and how it can promote neurogenesis.

personally, the best sleep aid i've EVER had was strong cannabis. puts me in an amazing, 14 hour, euphoric sleep filled with interesting dreams.. almost as if i'm still stoned in my dreams.

I dont know what it is about the combination of xanax+valium but it puts me in a sleepy mood no matter how small the dosage.

On another note, does anything come close to Temazepams as far as a warm blanket feeling & a bit of euphoria?

Zolpidem is the best Ive had by mile. It doesnt work for some but for those it does its great. Not only can I get to sleep but I get a complimentary visual trip. Ide try eszopiclone or valium first.

Quazepam apparently does not play with REM sleep either, I have no idea where it is available though, most likely some european countries.

Zopiclone is horrible shit man, 15mgs the other night for a person who is very tolerant to these types of things and I felt groggy as fuck the next day.

I can get quite a few things but Quazepam is not 1 of them, Gna get some good old Zolpidem, they worked wonders before,
No point taking Benzos for every problem you have better to change the chemicals up a bit my tolerance is already fucked,

Zolpidem and Etiz are my best bet I think , I reckon they would be a very nice stack together without a doubt, 10mgs with 3mgs, Z-Drug with a Thieno, and Regular benzos for daytime anxiety.

Out of the ones you've suggested OP, I'd suggest Midazolam. But as Survival says, I've now ditched Benzo's and Zolpidem/Zopiclone for Seroquel/Quetiapine. Induces sleep way better than any benzo at any dose I've ever had.

as far as benzos go i have yet to encounter a better sleep aid as temazepam. the short acting ones like triazolam and brotizolam are pretty good too if you don't have trouble sleeping through and want to avoid morning grogginess generally associated with longer-acting ones. however, i'd avoid benzos entirely for sleep. they're still the only medication aside from opioids and pregabalin that works for my anxiety, but as sleep aids they suck because of the rapid development of tolerance. quetiapine is decent although in my personal experience mirtazapine is easily the best sleep aid after i tried. even after a year of daily usage it still worked well at 30-45mgs dosages.
