I recently bought a pair of dr scholl's massaging gel work insoles, and they help a lot. But when I went into the store, I pretty much bought the first pair of dr scholl's I saw, since I see their commercials and ads all the time and I figure they must be good, right? Well I realized I'm just a slave to dr scholl's amazing marketing, and I can't help but think there may be something better, and when this pair wears out and I buy a new pair, I need to be more informed.
What kind of insoles have you guys found best for standing/walking and lifting shit for 8+ hours a day? I was thinking about getting the sports one but I decinded on the work one instead, are the sports one's generally more high performace? This is the first time I've ever bought a pair of insoles so I have no idea what I'm doing....

Where specifically do you need cushioning? What type of shoe are you wearing?

What kinds of shoes are you allowed to wear at work? Any kind?

^ If you're wearing a skate shoe, it's no wonder your feet hurt so much! Skate shoes are made to be large so that you can easily land on a skateboard, not stand for eight hours a day.

Honestly, I suggest either a pair of Pumas or a pair of Vibrams (but I suggest Vibrams for everything except winterwear).

You don't have to get Vibrams if you want a shoe that promotes proper form. There are a lot of good choices nowadays.

I totally fucked my Achilles tendon working as a bar-back... specialist and physical therapy dudes suggested "Superfeet" insoles (only thing better is custom orthotics if your insurances covers it, apparently).

I just recently purchased the Superfeet Green insoles, so I can't vouch, but supposedly they are great. I've had Achilles problems that have put a serious damper on my life for the better part of 10 months, so I hope these fuckers work.

best of luck.

Ive found that I need good arch support. I dont know what brand to reccomend, though.

Also, try this, it's helped me when I wore my Adio shoes to work.

LACE THOSE FUCKERS UP TIGHT!! It seems to help my feet and legs when my whole foot is tightly supported.

I now use a running type shoe for work...I think theyre Asics (sp?). Although, I still have problems when I have to stand more or less in place for over an hour. My feet, legs and back start to really hurt.
I wish I knew a better way to alleviate this shit.
