Heroin Best place to store tar heroin

Hello all,

I live in Southeast Texas and obained a few grams of tar h. i received it in a plastic bag wrap which is how it is stored/sold in this area of the country.

When I first got it, the temperature outside was 40-50 degrees F. A few days later, the temperature is up to 75-80 degrees F. I checked on the plastic bag with tar and it is entirely melted! I didn't weigh it, but just by looks it seems i lost around half a gram due to it melting!

Does anyone have a recommendation on the best place to store tar to prevent it from melting? unfortunately the fridge/freezer is not an option as i do not live alone at the moment. i was storing it in a dark place, but right now there isn't any "cool and dark" place as the entire house is around 78-80 degrees (dont believe in using AC in the month of Jan lol).

Also, since a lot of the tar is stuck to the plastic wrap, how would you recommend I get it off so I can smoke it? I tried scraping with a knife, but it is difficult as the knife will rip through and make it much worse. I also tried just pressing the plastic bag onto the foil so that the tar would stick on the foil and i could smoke it, but it wasn't sticking. only thing i can think of is to place it in water, then evap the water so im left with a heroin substance. Any help is appreciated.
 
You wouldn't have lost half a gram of the heroin from it melting. It will still all be there, it just looks smaller cuz it's melted or it's possible, although unlikely, that some moisture evaporated from it. Either way the heroin content will still be the same. So be careful and take what looks like a smaller amount than usual.

I am not super-familiar with what to do as I haven't had this happen very often at all, but using a dull smooth (not serated) knife edge to carefully scrape it off the plastic generally worked for me. If that doesn't work, I always injected my dope so I'm not sure what's best for removing it from the bag and still being able to smoke it. For injection diluting it with water would be fine, since one would be adding water anyway, but I'm not familiar with any technique for adding water and then drying it out in order to smoke it. Maybe someone else will have more experience in this department.

Is it still warm and melted, or did it melt and then cool down again and is solidified now?

In future find the coolest darkest driest place you can to store it. Make sure it is not getting exposed to air and moisture. It also helps if you don't have to store it for extended periods of time. Buy it not long before you intend to use it if you can.

Wrap it in foil. You can vap off the remnants.

If you put it in celophane and it gets sticky, you can always rub it off onto foil too, but that's an extra unnecessary step.

Yeah that's a good idea for storing it in the first place. What is your technique for rubbing it off onto the foil when it has already melted?
 
Rub the cellophane directly onto the foil, but use the thick foil, because that stuff doesn't rip up.

Also, an old ID or library card (thinner than a credit card), for a good scraper, that you can then use a razor blade on.
 
it's also pretty easy to hydrate and re-evaporate.
just use a little water and put it in a pyrex dish on top of a boiling pot of water. keep an eye on it, it will soon evap and be easy to scrape off.
 
Awesome, thanks for the replies. I've heard about foil, and think i will try that. unfortunately it is still melted but im still able to use it, just kind of a bitch to pack onto the foil since it sticks to every thing. think im gonna put it in the freezer for about an hour or two and let it solidfy, then move to foil storage.
 
Best way hands down (including to get every last bit of dope off the plastic) place it in the freezer for like 30mins.. i know you said you can't cause you don't live alone. But what about sneaking down to the freezer after everyone is asleep? Just be careful no to fall asleep lol I've done that before. My mom found a nice little surprise on top of her lean cuisines!
 
Yes, there must be things you can hide it inside the freezer, unless you have an exceptionally bare freezer. I usually have stuff that remains in there for a while if nothing else than to take up space, because the fridge doesn't have to work as hard when you fill up the space with stuff. You actually save on electricity bills by having stuff in the fridge. Heh, i remember putting phone books in the fridge when I was literally looking for ways to shave pennies off all my bills
