I am sure this has been asked before so forgive me if this is a repeat. I am currently prescribed Percocet 5/325 and am able to get a script without APAP. Looking for best pain relief plus some euphoria.

I take 2-3 5/325 twice a day and haven't received the relief I need. My DR reccommend that I take a pain med without APAP and gave me a name of a pain management DR that he knows well that can help me out.

If you like Percocet, ask for oxycodone without APAP. It is usually the top of the list on drug likability rankings and is effective for pain relief but it is all subjective.

Thank you. The Percs make me feel on edge and a kind of sick but not nauseous. I tried taking less but it doesn't seem to work. I was injured in the military and had multiple surgeries and the best relief I received was from Demerol. Which I know I won't get that. Percs make me feel Fuc*ked up. I also get real cranky on them. Sorry, just looking for best option available. Thank you for your response.

I have severe lower back pain especially my SI Joints, arthritis in my shoulder and hips, ligament damage also in hips. I have neuropathy in both legs which I am prescribed Lyrica. I have issues with pain in my neck and upper spine from an injury. Both of my feet are pretty much useless unless I am on some type of pain med. I am missing parts of both of my lower legs. My hips are not aligned which throws everything off. The list goes on....

Man you need to see that PM doc. You seem really under medicated for someone with those issues. I know slow and low is the way to go blah, blah, blah but you gotta find some relief. Good luck my friend. Hope you get this managed well.

One drug that might be able to help you is oxymorphone (opana) I'm not 100% that its APAP free, but from what your describing medical wise, that's what I would prescribe you. Opana ER would probably be best with a low MG opana such as 10mg IR to take throughout the day.
Mind you, I'm not a doctor just someone with a lot of experience with pain killers.

I would go with opana xr to keep from feeling intense pain all the time. I would add maybe oxycodone 30mg for breakthrough pain. However, I would break the oxys in half and only take the second half if really needed. The reason I say oxy 30 is they never give you enough of a script for breakthrough pain, so having an extra 15mg per dose allows you to break them in half and have extra in case you have to do something that causes you pain and you end up using more than what you normally allow yourself.

Also, I am sorry for your injuries. I do not support the war, but I sure as hell respect, and admire all the troops fighting in it. Thank you for your service and if thre is anything that I can do let me know.

Thank you for your kind words it's greatly appreciated.

Thank you all for your advice and kindness. I am hoping I find the right PM doc as the VA only will prescribe tramadol as I am also scripted Klonopin. Civilian PM Dr's prescribe me the Percs. Thanks again.
