I have some pills which I really enjoy ( lots of empathy, music sounds amazing, etc... ) unfortunately/fortunately ( depending on views ) they contain some speed. lots of energy on the dacefloor but unfortunately this leads to a rough nights sleep afterward. Last time I took them I took 2 at 12 midnight, went to bed at about 5-5:30 and couldnt fall to sleep until 12 am the next day.

So I am wondering what is the best legal over the counter sleep medication to use? I unfortunately do not have access to benzo's so I must rely on what I can get.

What I've thought of so far
1. Melatonin - Seems to be recommended but I wonder how well it truly works since melatonin is dependent on serotonin levels ( from what I understand ) and ecstasy decreases serotonin levels.

2. Tylenol PM - Is it safe to mix high levels of acetaminophen after rolling?

3. Benedryl - Seems like a good option but antihistamines have a tendency to dry me out, would this be a good idea to use when already dehydrated?

4. Nyquil - Again could be a good option but contains Dextromethorphan, safe to mix?

So in everyones experience, what over the counter medicine works best to help get a good nights sleep after rolling?

1. I don't think melatonin is affected by serotonin, but it's more like a natural chemical your brain produces in darkness. Serotonin is created by light, and reduces depression. They work like polar opposite, so while being related, I don't think there's any cause-effect relationship there. Although it's less of a drug, and more of a natural sleep-aid..

2. Tylenol PM is just tylenol combined with benadryl. You can read the active ingredients of benadryl & tylenol (dyphenhydramine & acetaminophen)

3. Benadryl is good for sleep, obviously not as good as a benzo, but you say you can't benzos so...

4. Nyquil comes in many different formulations, many contain acetaminophen (tylenol). Some do not. I would just avoid the stuff, honesltly. The active ingredient that causes drowsiness in Nyquil is actually doxylamine succinate, brand name Unisom, which can be purchased alone as an OTC sleep aid.

In my experience, I never use OTC sleep aids, aside from melatonin. But I would never expect melatonin to knock me out the way Unisom or benadryl does. Melatonin doesn't have the overwhelming force behind it like the antihistimines, benadryl & doxylamine succinate. Melatonins more or less just help you get sleepy on your own. If I wanted a push or a shove into sleep, I'd drop a benzo, but you can't get them OTC here in the US.

So I'd say you want Benadryl/dyphenhydramine or Unisom/doxylamine...

I've only tried melatonin and Benadryl out of those that you have listed. Like mentioned above, melatonin is probably mild for what you are looking for. Benadryl might be helpful but I don't find it particularly strong either.

bro if you have meth in your pills and you take over the counter sleepaids you will still be awake and feel like shit. Happend to me. thats why i do oc after a roll. but tats just me

If I'm having trouble sleeping after a roll I like to take a couple benadryl, as mentioned above. Knocks me out cold.
Melatonin also works pretty well, and feels a bit more natural than Benadryl imo. (meaning it doesnt completely incapacitate me the way that Benadryl does)

Any barbiturate (xanax, valium etc) will work wonders.

As far as OTC, I used to down 5-6 Tylenol PMs after rolling. Smoke a bowl and holy shit I had some of the most intense hallucinations imaginable. Seeing things that where not there kind of deal, lots of insects and animals, sometimes people too. I had fun but could easily be very frightening. Oh, and it would eventually put me to sleep too.

this really depeneds on what country you live in.

Just be careful when using some of these medications not meant as a sleeping aid - they can have quite bad side effects.

I know an OTC (UK) drug that will induce night terrors - some times its better to simply put some porn on and 'entertain' yourself instead of forcing sleep.
