I remember seeing MTV do an award for this, but I think they said 'dirtbag' to keep it a little more PG-13, but seeing as we're all adults here I'll use the more adult term :D. When I saw it I think Bradley Cooper won the award for his role in Wedding Crashers, which he did a great job of playing a douchebag in. What characters have you found to be big douchebags, even though you might like the actor him/herself?
I always hated Ted Danson in Curb Your Enthusiasm, and I love that he agreed to play a role where he would come as being a dick that nobody liked. The character of Ted Mosby in How I Met Your Mother comes across as a douche, and since I haven't seen him in anything else I don't know how much of that is acting and how much is him really being a douche. The character Jacob in Road Trip plays a pretty good douchebag who is sucking up to his professor and dicking over the main character in an attempt to get his girl.
Any other characters that just make you want to punch them in the face?
