so, I've been on Suboxone for a bit; before that it was straight opiates for years and years. and even tho Suboxone is still an opiate, my shitting has come a long way; however, its NO WHERE NEAR WHERE IT SHOULD BE!

what do you boys/gals take to help? I SHIT BRICKS! well, TINY BRICKS but still BRICKS that are hard as a rock and could possibly kill you if I ever threw one off your head.

sorry for the disgusting thread here but I seriously need help ASAP! the minute I find out ill go to CVS/Walgreens tonight and get it. the last SHIZZYYY I just took had tears running down my face; there is still plenty left to come but hoping my next trip goes a bit better.

anyone have experience w/ this and what was best for them? I've tried a few things but nothing ever worked out "great".

Sounds to me like you need some type of stool softener!!! If you have the time and money go online do a little research and then head to your nearest store a buy some ASAP!

Water, water and more water. I can't stress this enough, I go through at least 6 pints a day. How's your diet? My Pops went to the gastro doc and was told meats and cheese are worst foods for people with constipation. Fresh leafy greens and fruits are helpful too.

well, sad to say, but meats and cheese are my 2 fav. for example, I eat a damn steak & cheese almost daily. damn! my diet sucks, dude. its all take out food for the most part. today I had wendys, which was just a burger, fries, chicken fingers and a coke. then I had a few slices of pizza for dinner.

that is my usual "diet", so I know it sucks considering all I am going through in life (not just this but Chemotherapy too).

I do drink water but NOT ENOUGH: not even close to enough, man.

Love fruit and try to eat as much as I can but the addict in me eats all the fruits within a day or so once I buy them from the grocery store; I cant let them just sit there, ya know?! the same way the dope would disappear in minutes rather than hours or days.

no "pills" to make it easy? just the same way I look for everything else to happen.. pills, pills, pills.

I know, I sometimes will buy fruit like cantaloupe and then it goes bad on me while I'm waiting for it to ripen. You do need protein, I would cut down on the cheese though. I'm on a harsh regimen for hepatitis c and my mouth is always dry. If I don't eat enough, (carbs in particular) I get sick. I keep my water at room temperature and just slam it down. You can try stool softeners like Colace or even the generic brands like Walgreens are good like Opanna said. You can also talk to your doctor about opiate induced constipation if it doesn't ease up.

will def. grab this Colace tomorrow.. its something I've used in past but completely forgot. but things have not been this bad since I was using daily. never thought I'd take a "suboxone" shit and basically CRY there right on the toilet. again, I am on chemotherapy too, and they told me it may be "hard" (I mean that both ways) but I let it go in one ear and out the other because I've been a dope fiend and been through it all, right? well, havent had something like this since the days of being dope sick and sitting on a toilet and crying my eyes out. mannnnnnnnnnn, tonight WOKE ME UP alright, lol.

not to be gross, but my finger might need to go through a car wash tomorrow morning right after I stop for the Colace.

thank you, guys.

Since u have been Actually shitting bricks I would continue with the stool softener . I take senna its a natural substance that my pain management doctor recommended I buy it at whole foods it's called smooth move and it is absolutely amazing and I have tried everything and I mean everything and nothing has worked as well as smooth move which contains senna.

Trust me it works The bottle says to take four pills at a time once a day the most I have ever taken was three and I go at least 3 to 4 times the next day.

For immediate relief, though harsh...Grab some Magnesium Citrate and some Dulcolax. I take this for my colonoscopy prep, so it should work to clean you out. Take about 4 Dulcolax and drink an entire bottle of the Citrate (chilled is best). If nothing happens within an hour, drink another bottle. Then prepare to stick close to the throne.

Once you've cleared your current stock from your colon, perhaps a daily regimen of stool softeners or even Miralax, which dissolves into any liquid hot or cold. It draws water into the stool, urging it to pass through more painlessly.

As others have said...hydration, hydration, hydration. Keep a glass or bottle of water in your hand, drinking constantly. Avoid caffeine as it dehydrates.

Fiber, for me, is the ENEMY. I have to keep the stool soft in order to navigate my twisted guts to the exit point. I feel for ya, as I was recently hospitalized for partial obstruction. It's still not certain that I've dodged surgery.

Sending positive vibes your way.

Smooth move has worked unbelievably well for me. Hope you have great results my friend.

Forgot to tell you take it at night like around 7-8 pm. Then by morning to early afternoon u should be good. The first time might be a rough go but after that it's like clockwork.

Senna is quite gentle, but upgrade to Colace or Miralax if that doesn't cut it. Just a little stool softener every day should help.

Diet and water are super important though, and there's not really a good replacement. Exercise too.

Dulcolax suppositories (not the tablets, stimulant laxatives like dulcolax are super rough on your GI tract if taken orally).

Magnesium citrate liquid if that doesn't work.

Try adding more fiber to your diet and much more water to handle all that fiber without causing bloating, gas, even worse constipation. Start your day with some Coach's Oats or traditional steel cut oats if you have the time (not rolled oats, they're kinda crap). Eat more whole grains and cut out simple carbs like white rice, spaghetti, and white bread. Post up exactly what you ate today, should help us understand.

Also, do you exercise? Try reaching an elevated heart rate for 30 mins daily either by running, going hard on the bicycle, or swimming.

I haven't had opioid-induced constipation (the only kind I've ever had) for years now, I now live a healthier lifestyle and only take reasonable doses of short acting opioids, like oxy and Kratom, other than the occasional PST or tramadol. I do see snail-themed opioid induced constipation ads throughout the city, lol...

I took subs for 8 months and I never really had significant constipation with those, although I was exercising hard and smoking cigarettes (ugh, cigs... bad year) throughout.

That's what I thought until I tried smooth move and could not believe the results. I have had problems with constipation even with out opiate use. I had tried colace and Miralax and nothing. I had to actually dig in myself to pull out what needed to be removed. I encourage you to give smooth move a try it contains a few other ingredients beside Senna. It actually has been a lifesaver for me and I go up to 4 times a day the next day after taking them. It's only sold at Whole foods.

i agree with Diet and exercise are key to moving things along.

You can try an enema to at least help clear you out and gets"reset" if you will.

Obviously eating foods, in excess especially, that are greasy and fatty are not going to be good for your digestive track. Try to limit your intake on those and make slow changes to your diet where you can.

Water er is an obvious help.

FIBER. Adding fiber to your diet daily should do wonders on helping to regulate your bowel movements. Perhaps something like "benefiber" would work for you... You just add some to your water that you already should be drinking, and BAM! You just killed two birds with one stone.

Prunes and prune juice help with constipation, but it doesn't sound like constipation is your issue.

You could also talk to your subs dr. For some additional ideas, as he should be well educated on this type of thing, and probably deals with similar questions more often than not from his patients.

i am absolutely not a medical professional at all(obviously haha)
But it sounds like a few changes in your diet could do the trick after flushing out your system.

oh one last thing... Try a colon cleanse to flush your system for a reboot! It will help you feel a million times better! The last one I did was in pill form by Jillian Michaels, but in a female so that particular probably isn't best for you lol, but cvs/Walgreens/etc all sell diff ones , and any will help! Done last longer then others, but any will be great at first. They sell them in pill form and also tea form now... So if you like tea, that might be something you could consider!

best of luck... Kick those rocks away. ;)

hi, try Dulcolax stool softener. you can take 1 or 2 a day, and also metamucil along with it. drink a lot of water to keep hydrated, like 2 quarts a day or so. all this will help you.
