Hey all, I'm new here. I've browsed these forums from time to time before, though I made this account specifically to ask this question. I'll be sticking around to contribute as well.
So I've been taking Gabapentin for a while now and it's a real life saver. I deal with mental illness, and pretty frequently get intense spells of depression that have left me hospitalized in the psych ward many times due to feeling suicidal. When I get some Gabapentin in me though, it all goes away. I don't use it for the "high" one can get from it so much as just making me feel calm and normal. I've looked into the issues it has with how much can be absorbed into the system at a given time, and how the absorption rate goes down as you increase the dose.
I've experimented a bit with different dosages and frequencies, and have lately settled on taking 900mg every 30 minutes. Usually after 4 doses (3,600 mg in 2 hours) I'm feeling alright. Since I take this on a sort of emergency basis sometimes though, I'm wondering if there might be an even more efficient way of doing it. Maybe I could push the dose higher, or increase the frequency? I just want to know the best way to use this stuff to get out of these pits of total misery my mind falls into, as fast as possible. A friend of mine says he takes 1,200 mg every 15 minutes. Is this too much, too fast to get the most out of it?
