Hello everyone, I was just wondering, with all the new GABA analogues emerging lately (and not so lately), what is your favorite? A few examples being baclofen, phenibut, gabapentin, and pregabalin.
Also feel free to post other favorite GABA analogues that I haven't listed.

I prefer phenibut to baclofen. Baclofen kinda gives me these on/off waves off grumpiness. I'm not gonna mess with it anymore. Phenibut is smoother, but not something I plan on doing often.

Am interested in other alternatives.

Pregabalin if I have to choose. Still prefer being sober to any of these chemicals. Can be fun once in a blue moon but having to take the shit for pain every day sucks.

I was on 150mg 2x daily for leg pains. Lyrica (pregabalin).

My back doc was lied to, its RLS pains. Not the shooting pain they ask you. Thinking of getting it again, maybe tritating up again? Is this a bad idea with a new benzo/thienodiazepam dependency? Could I take less for theraputic doses?

All I ever did was finish the rx in a few days, meh, so I traded for 200mh tramadol ER. I can prolly still get it, but I do the same wth tram. Then lope taper till refill. Honestly, etizolam really helps my muscle pain, they wouldnt, hopefully diclazepam works better. Its better than mu dad getting 150mgmethadone pils a month from same center then the wreck he slowly becomes by week 2. Whatever. Im ok.

Well, never got the chance to try Lyrica(got it written to me, but the pharmacy changed it to Mobic(wtf?!) cuz it was expensive, but they did it without even telling me...think it may have had to do because I went to a well known "what do you want doctor" and had also been given Xanax with it. Woulda made a fuss to give me the lyrica, but I needed money to get some opiates also so was just like whatever. Gabapentin is fun, kinda wierd, has a short half life but last ALL day and usually has me running my mouth as if I was on a stimulant without stimulant side effects and also makes things look kinda brighter(read it has been given off label to Meth addicts, so that makes since I guese.) Didn't know Balcofen was a Gaba drug, I took it for sleep but didn't even notice anything from it. Have been very interested in trying Phenibut for anxiety instead of Benzo's, but just haven't gotten around to it.

Edit: Does Etizolam count? Got 40 one time and enjoyed them, was like Xanax except it was WAAAY more clear headed.

Oh, how could I forget... SOMA!!! It's been FOREVER since I have had any. Very boring by themselves, but are lovely with some weed or opiates(if you are being responsible w/ dosage.) In the early days of my opiate use my old dealer was like a walk in pharmacy Lortabs, Somas, Xanax, Klonopin, Methadone and Percocets. Use to love taking a few Hydros(dose was 40mg, before I was a daily user, with 3 Soma's and some weed, they also go very nicely with just weed,IMO. Wish that dude was still around(well not really I'm on maintaince now, lol) Shame those and Tramadol got scheduled=(. Would be nice just to have a few Soma's with my Bupe with some weed added every now and again. It gets so fuckin' boring on just Subs sometimes....

Anyone tried vigabatrin (sabril) or tiagabine (gabitril)? I am interested to know the effects as these seem to be compounds that could potentially get people high yet nobody uses them. Is it because of terrible side effects?

I honestly just think they're all a bit... crap.

But I do enjoy high doses of gabapentin. Pregabalin just made me feel manic and crazy. And nothing else did anything.

Never heard of them! Off to learn! Err, later.

I like this thread. Whats the brand name / compound name for those. Its hard to tell almost, haha.

Perhaps, I believe, we just havent found the Right One yet. Future trippin, think about the new drugs we'll be able to get high on later in time.

Thank you everyone for all of your answers! And thanks especially to professor for complimenting me on my thread! Soma is definitely a favorite as well screaming skull. Somewhat like alcohol without most of the psychological effects.

Somas are great even by themselves.Kinda like drunk but different.I've also found them a useful tool during opiate WDs.They also help save money when drinking because if you pop a few of those babies a couple of drinks is all you need.
