you wanna see nice drumming... pick up the Refused cd, pick up Mars Volta, System of a Down, anything by the Who, Dave Mathews drummer gets to show off quite a bit on their latest disc (a disc i think people should check out.. it was recorded and approached in a much much different fashion than any other disc. it's definately a beat and rhythem driven cd).

I love Dave Grohls style. Heavy-hitting and packs a strong beat. Listen to the album "Songs For The Deaf" by Queens of The Stone Age and you'll see what I'm talking about.

STS9's drummer, frankly, isn't anything special.
oh. I'd like to see you keep his stamania and timing for three or four hours. ;) :p

Endurance is mutually exclusive to being good. :)

And he's not bad by any means, but he's nothing special.

your right, but staminia combined with precise timing is something a good drummer must possess, and Zach exemplifies both. Just because he doesn't play to your style does not mean he is not a mean machine on his kit.

Well, you have (repeatedly) announced your disdain for any live-tronica type groups....and you've mentioned your dislike of STS9 particularily.
