Same. I can’t even get hard until love is in the air. Which makes for a challenging love life when I’m only attracted to Mandarin speaking, meth smoking, Chinese MILF sex workers. Have you got any idea how hard it is to make one of them love you?

Pretty much impossible…without an honest face and the ability to convince them they would just love to try LSD the next time you visit them that is.

Then it’s love like the pair of you had never dreamed possible and a life threatening case of priapism you are too hopelessly besotted to worry about.

And yet often still no fucks for reasons I don’t understand…

I had this issue once. 50mgs of Viagra later and I was banging some back street floozy at 50 quid for the hour. Not my best experience for sure, but it got the job done.

Unfortunately for me, nobody I've ever crushed on for ages has led to this. I'm an ugly bastard, men like me don't get to experience true love. But we still need to get our end off from time to time. Sure, society looks down on us, but they never see it from our perspective.

I never said anything about true love. Just a real good perfect moment. Don't look at it that way though man, there is a place for everyone in society and love for everyone. Maybe you're not on the right drugs.

The only drug that works for me is money. As long as I have that, I don't require love and they don't require it from me either.

You’d be unlikely to find your forever-after soulmate out of something that begins as a commercial transaction but as @Crash Override sugggests, perfect moments between two people - whether for an hour, a night, a week or whatever - are their own reward and a possibility for anyone who looks at every sexual partner as a whole person of equal worth and thus tries to ensure the encounter brings equal happiness to both parties. To me this is the essence of love and I’ve found it more than once with people I’ve spent only a couple of paid hours with, who’s names I don’t know, and who I never expect to see again.

Nobody begins those engagements expecting or requiring this kind of love - but if it emerges then everybody involved thinks it makes for a much better day than if it hadn’t. In my opinion, also much more rewarding than merely feeling the brief relief of ‘getting one’s end away’.

But of course different people need different things to be happy. I don’t want to suggest my perspective the right approach for everyone.,

I don't disagree. It's just that as somebody who is Autistic and has never really had any success connecting with anyone (not even managing to make any friends), these situations simply don't arise for somebody like me. I'm simply too socially awkward, without even being aware of the behaviours I display in public which send people negative signals.

Just as some people are naturally confident and can connect with anybody in a room, so of us are naturally awkward and can't connect with anybody. Sure I could try and fake the confidence, but nobody is fooled by that. People see straight through it for what it is.

When I was in my 20s I worked with a hot gal that I had a serious crush on. I admired her from afar for over a year. Then one night we were drinking together, alone, and the opportunity arose. Sadly, I did not. Too drunk to fuck. For various reasons it was a once-in-a-lifetime chance and I blew it.

.. That and opiates. A moderate dose is great to enhance emotional connection and sensitivity to tactile sensations, but then you end up going for an age and a half and never quite cross the finish line
