Best drug for a really big test

^ If you're willing to shell out on the 'real' modafinil.

Honestly though, you may as well ask 'which drug will fix my broken relationship' (or 'mend my roof' or a million other things drugs don't really do but might if the wind is in the direction have some kind of sticking plaster effect on.) Just take in a can of red bull, it might taste and smell like robot vomit but it probably won't throw you a curve ball when what you need the most in an exam is to not be distracted.

Ok just googled it. Very funny. :p

sorry :(

I'm with jancrow, just take an energy drink or something in with you, taking drugs for the sake of an exam sounds like a silly idea to me! Personally if I was taking stims for an exam I wouldn't be able to focus properly and would keep going off on tangents!

Obviously it's a personal choice and I wish you the best with whatever route you go down! :)

100mg line of Mephedrone before hand, make an excuse to leave every hour to top up. You'll fly through the exam though I'm unsure if you'll pass :D

In all seriousness, I don't really agree with using a drug to get through an exam...

I'm sure that BLers like Isemene are fully aware of this though and wouldnt be falling into this trap. Isemene what is wrong with the cheap ones ?

I'd always got the French ones - can't remember what they're called...mod..something..that cost about **£Money**. Then I saw the "**Some for some Money**" modalert and thought all my birthdays had come at once. First 5 or 6 times I took it I barely recognised it as the same drug. As Watsons torment said - all it did to me was give me a headache, made me feel confused, nauseous and even more tired than I was. Completely useless.

But if you're really determind and feel like fighting your way through the headache and confusion, then if you chew 2 or 3 of them (I think they have some kind of coating on them as they take hours to come on when you just swallow them) and grit your teeth - after half a dozen times of feeling like shit, you seem to adapt and don't feel quite as sick and confused anymore.

Modalert is certainly vastly different to real modafinil but if the piggy bank doesn't stretch to the real stuff they might be worth a brief try.

Well I gave Modalert a few trial runs. And its great for studying. Managed to spend entire days off revising. So it certainly works in that sense. I'm not sure if it has any performance enhancing properties though, or whether it just keeps me motivated to work. I'm going to do two mock tests, one with modalert, one without. And see if it helps. If not I'll just use it as a study aid until then.

The only downside to it has been that despite dosing in the morning say 10am, I've not been able to sleep at all till about 4-5am in the morning. Not that that will matter too much the night of my exam. Its just annoying. Perhaps this is a side-effect of getting the cheapo modalert brand? I'm tempted to pay the **£Money** for the branded version.

I've been trialling modalert over these past couple of days. Got the 200 mg pills and then quartered them. (Dosing @ 1/4 pill every 3 hours or so) I'm impressed with them as they've got me through a couple of days at work where i'd have probably been struggling to even stay awake otherwise. Coffee just wouldnt have been enough. I could really notice the effects driving into work in the morning, much faster mental processing. As well as the alertness there was a definate mood lift too.

They seem to be great things to take occasionally, as needed, at low doses.

Glad the modalert do something for you, I'm not sure how close they are to actual modafinil but whatever they are perhaps they can be of benefit to some. For me, I just got a throbbing headache and felt even more tired than I did before I took them.

Thought I'd add my £0.02 on '10 for a **£Money**' Modalert.

-Ordered from a "UK based pharmacy" with positive reviews on nootropics forums. Received 7 days later with a Hong Kong return address.
-Took 200mg a day (dose it is usually prescribed at) over a period of 6 days.
-First and second days were magical, worked a treat and blasted through more revision than I've managed in my entire life combined (not an exaggeration), with some moderate euphoria to boot.
-Third day, messed up sleeping pattern starting to catch up with me, though my concentration was still through the roof.
-Fourth day, managed to catch up on sleep. Still no negative effects but my urine was starting to REEK of the metabolites (I could smell it from the other side of the bathroom), which interestingly enough smelled exactly like camfetamine.
-Fifth day, started to get chest pains and headaches. Had exams the next 2 days though so decided to power through it. Not sure if it was the chest pains freaking me out but my concentration definitely dropped a lot.
-Sixth day, chest pain to the point I decided fuck it no exam is worth however many years I'm taking off my life with this stuff. Started getting lower right quadrant abdominal pain also. Couldn't concentrate for shit.
Did average on the exam that day, but completely crashed that night and messed up the next day's exam. If it was a one off for a single exam, or to get an essay done I might say it was worth it. But in this case it wasn't.

All the literature I could find says that modafinil is usually prescribed at the doses I was taking (200mg once a day every day), often over a period of a few months or longer. So either I had a slightly bad reaction to it, or there was some fucked up shit in there. The blister packs were labelled with 'Sun Pharma' and all the usual official looking stuff, though not that that means much.

Whether it was the modafinil itself, or the fact that it was sent from an office block in Tuen Mun, who knows. Won't be risking modafinil again anyway.

That said, the etizolam these guys were selling was dirt cheap and top notch, so not entirely a scam operation :/

This sounds rather like the people I got mine from.

I never did it for days at a time, more like two on three off, which seemed to work out a bit better after a ropey acclimatisation period, ie it never worried me unless I consumed caffeine alongside it. Don't know if you were with us a page or two back but the Sun Pharma generic is distinctly different from branded modafinil and has a plethora of side effects which you don't get with the 'real deal'.

These Modalerts are still getting the thumbs up from me. From what ive gathered from Wikipedia they arent useful for 'abuse' - ie if you've had plenty of sleep and theres nothing wrong with you then boshing handfulls of them isnt going to get you high. But if you are sleep deprived then I'm finding they are effective @ small doses to enable decent functioning @ work etc. They can also be used to treat opiate withdrawls. This week they have helped me to make ending a many consecutive days running ODT binge almost painless.

Ah I see. I did read through but must have missed that. But yeah I'd definitely agree the sun pharma ones are fuckers for side effects. If I suddenly come into some money I'll try and source some Provigil, but until then I guess it's gonna have to be caffeine, a healthy diet and plenty of sleep :(

Has anyone tried MPA as a study aid?

Modalerts?
Sounds like what would happen if I were to smack my modstick down and the ground shudders as a result ;)

I've never found any stimulant to make me able to focus more. Not for me I guess, but it's really intriguing to find one that wouldn't make me really confuzzled!

If you have Dexedrine tablets or have speed the purity of which you know certainly well, and can control it, I've found it to be a far superior stimulant for exams to any other I've tried. It's easy to take just a bit too much, though, at which point all the benefits other than writing fast are lost.
