Best Depictions Of Close Friendships In Movie History

The lack of notable female friendships in movies throughout the years is another good example of the world being told through the eyes of men. :|

^^^ i very much agree :(

mulholland drive is the best i can think of (it's disturbing, but there's a definite closeness until, um, it all falls apart :D ...okay, maybe not then ;)).

it could be also because men need more help
defining what it means to be friends moreso
than women...

i dunno... just something off the top of my head...

or maybe the majority of films depiciting strong female bonds are just not good enough for us to remember heh.

oh I've got one. The two gals in The Hot Chick. :D

Just want to second that suggestion. Just finished watching it again and was totally blown away by the performances. Deserves a thread of it's own really.

UV and Gavin from Disturbing Behavior
Beavis and Butt-Head from Beavis & Butt-Head Do America

sounds like a cop-out to me 8(

^My excuse is limited viewing. Just haven't seen that many movies with female friendships... then again, maybe men and women view "close friendships" in a different way.

But how about that gang of bitches in Waiting to Exhale? ;)

David Gale and Constance Harraway in Life of David Gale

YES!! best friend till death (literally) do us part

i'm surprised no one's mentioned Sam and Frodo on LOTR

i guess people are too scared to face teh wrath of
all the closet cases crying "oooh, that's was awfully
homo" ...... ;)

also,

i rather enjoyed the comraderie on ROLLING KANSAS
(which, imo, is the best pot smoking movie since
classic CHEECH AND CHONG)

Sweet !!! Dude where's my car ?
