An honorable mention should be given to Ikari Warriors

I had that on the Commodore 64. It never got boring to play with a friend.

I can still hum the theme tune nowadays.

Best times I've had in co-op was in pretty much any of the conflict series such as conflict desert storm all are a good time except the Vietnam one. Not exactly the best shooters by a long shoot but with four friends a big screen TV and a shit ton of weed, you can't have a bad time. Each player has his own weapon set and the ability to revive each other with med kits. Good times indeed and I think the last one we played was only 20 bucks brand new.

My housemate and I had a lot of fun playing Desert Storm all weekend once.

Nothing like hardcore gaming to turn the house into a mess of food spoils and empty beer bottles. With the blinds drawn of course.
