I've smoked weed for a good while, going on 13 years, but slowed up recently. After it became more and more common for me to deveop bad anxiety with lessening amounts of marijuana, I stopped regularly. Nowadays I basically will only smoke when I am drunk or on benzos. If I smoke and am not on something I usually start drinking or take a benzo.

Anyway, on to the question. For the purpose of keeping oneself chill while smoking marijuana, what do you think is the best benzo? I have been recently used alprazloam and clonazepam for the purpose, I have found the clonazepam works better to rid my anxious thoughts while high. I feel like I would need to take enough alpraz to over sedate me to completely calm me down. Also the clonaz easily outlast the marijuana high, which makes it better suited. I have limited experience with diazpeam and lorazepam in combination with marijuana. Also the Diaz was 10 years ago and I wasn't taking much mroe than 10 mg and the loraz did seem decent, but I dont think I did it enough to get a good judgement.

So who thinks what? And the question can be broadened to just which benzo you enjoy most with weed? Since not everyone uses the benzo mainly to relieve anxiety from marijuana.

The same thing was happening to me after about the same duration of use with weed. Just take a break.

Tbh anyone on this site who is worth listening to will tell you don't get yourself chemically dependant on benzos so you can smoke pot. It's a ludicrous idea really. Benzo w/d is insidious in case you did not know.

Yeah Spadez hit the nail on the head.

Not only that, benzos eventually become worthless for weed-related anxiety at any dose (trust me, I know from experience) and then you find yourself in a multi hour panic attack. Either take a break from smoking weed or don't smoke to the point that you're anxious. I smoke weed on a hit by hit basis. Take a hit, wait a few minutes to see how I feel, then hit it again, usually I'm fine after three hits but sometimes one hit puts me right on the edge between anxiety and an enjoyable high.

You really don't want a benzo addiction just so you can smoke pot. :\

To answer your question, the only benzo I've seen have a significant impact on marijuana-induced anxiety is clonazepam. Xanax you have to take so much that you're about to pass out, ruining the high, and diazepam is easily overpowered by cannabinoids at doses up to 30mg (I never pushed it higher, seemed pointless since it literally did nothing).

Even water can overpower lorazepam in my opinion (I find it about as worthless as an antidepressant is unless I'm actually in benzo withdrawal or its given through my IV at the hospital) so I don't ever take it into consideration.

I haven't messed with etizolam or any of the RC benzos. My best guess off the top of my head would say that etizolam is probably effective for marijuana anxiety somewhere along the lines of clonazepam (but with a shorter duration) but once again, addiction becomes a big issue.

If you have access to different strains, try to stick with Indica dominant strains. Those tend to be less anxiety provoking. Blueberry and Blue Dream are two strains that I personally have used to COMBAT anxiety but if I smoke too much of either of them, that gets reversed rather quickly.

I don't have the desire to be smoking weed everyday. But when I do I basically need a benzo to enjoy it. Sometimes its alright on it own, but I definitely want a benzo on hand in case I have a panic attack. I know about the risks involved with benzos, I have been messing with them for years, never developed a dependence that resulted in anymore than a mild headache and some rebound anxiety. I also find it easier to take the clonazepam only a few times per week, while with alprazolam I tend to them daily.

Its actually been 5 straight day I've taken some clonaz, but not crazy doses, just between 1-2 mg a day. So I am planing a few days off that stuff and if I smoke I will make sure to be careful and take little bitch hits. Its always that one huge rip that has you coughing and tickles the the larynx that gets you past the enjoyable point of stoned.

I also find smoking joints helps from getting overly stoned. Since the smoke isn't purely from the MJ, the hits don't pack so much punch. Sometimes I smoke like half a pin bar and get a more pleasant high, relaxed high than if I smoke 2 hits off my pipe.

As for taking a break I had just taken a long break. I will say I've noticed after taking a break the first couple times smpoking after the break I don't seem to get much anxiety, it tends to get worse the more consecutive days I smoke, I wonder why that would be or if its just a mental thing.

You're on a slippery slope. And 1-2mg of clonazepam a day is taking 20-40mg of diazepam a day. Its not a drop in the bucket, that's a significantly high dose.

If you're already doing 5 days, it won't be long before you find yourself dependent on them. Seriously, be careful. Smoking weed isn't worth a benzo addiction.

Pyrazolam, its one of the rc benzos and its pretty much a pure anxiolitic with close to no sedation or sloppiness. I obviously cant tell you where on the web to find it, but its not too difficult to locate with a bit of searching.
