Best anti-anxiety medication by prescription?

Valium is probably my favorite followed closely by klonopin. I really hate xanax. Those are the only 3 benzos I've tried though, there are some more interesting ones out there from what I hear.

klonopin or valium. u can drink while on them, but u wont need to drink nearly as much. dont drink too much as it can be dangerous.

i haven't found anything that works.
i love benzos, but not to take every day. i don't know about you but i'm not trying to go through withdrawal. plus they make me really tired and dopey lately. i would recommend only using them when you feel a panic attack coming on... or learn how to tell your panic attacks to fuck off like i did. now i don't get panic attacks but i still have pretty bad anxiety. i'm REALLY sick of it. i've been on wellbutrin for about a month now, the doctor said it would help my depression & anxiety. it didn't do shit for anxiety, i had to go back today and they gave me a choice, paxil, zoloft or buspar. i went with the buspar because i have a feeling if i'm taking wellbutrin & paxil/zoloft someone is going to find me dead.

i'll let you know if the combination of wellbutrin + buspar does any good...

clonazepam (klonopin/rovitrol) is my personal favorite for anxiety.

Valium barely works on me. Xanax is similar to Klonopin, but is more sedating and shorter-acting. Alprozolam and Temazepam are most likely the two most addictive (at least of common) benzos.
This is because of the short half life. Also, when i say addictive, i am referring to physical, but mental addiction is much more common on xanax than on valium (because valium is more gentle and longer lasting).

Oh, and ive wondered about Buspar, every doc ive asked has said its a BS drug given to people who are prone to drinking, because with the other anxiolytics, alcohol is contraindicated. I've also taken it, just for anxiety relief, not to get high (well.. there IS no high).

The only feeling it gives you, i find is similar to smoking Calea. No high, but a subtle relaxation, but def way too subtle to get rid of any _real_ anxiety. In fact, I think calea is a better anxiolytic, which says alot about just how useless buspare is, IMO/E
