Yeah, we've been shit-boozled over the last few decades by the "money power" to support economic policies that don't make sense for the vast majority, just so that capital accumulates in a certain area, specifically at the top (policies that dislocate money from the poor and middle classes and move it into places where it is already accumulating).
This has been accomplished by a constant media bombardment to the minds of the public with complete crank shit like Austrian economics, the peculiarly retarded American strain of "libertarianism" (which I call retarded and put in quotes because it's not real libertarianism, only "libertarian" when it comes to its ardent support of laissez-faire economics and nothing else, and tends to be pretty fascist in general - it's just a bunch of poor and middle class people who were handed their anarchist streak from the corporate media to assist their parent companies and CEOs in robbing the commonwealth of its rightwise treasure - every real anarchist in the world laughs at you libertarian idiots fyi), and anyone else in the US who falls to the right of the INTERNATIONAL left-to-right scale (not the skewed-to-the-right scale we have in the US where anything that would be considered "centrist" elsewhere is considered some form of communism). These are the tools of the trade for the "money power". Confuse, divide and conquer.
We need major reshifting of government spending into the public sector. We have to reduce the enormous sums that get wasted in the military/prison/police industrial complexes, increase the amount of tax revenue we bring in from major corporations who have been getting away with ripping off the government at the government's own doing (and then telling us we're broke and need to institute austerity).
If it comes down to it, we need to use the government as the employer of last resort and hire hundreds of thousands of unemployed but useful individuals (at a fair wage - $15/hour, maybe even free housing to those willing to resettle to areas that require civil infrastructure upkeep more than others) to train and put to work on civil infrastructure (it would probably cost the same as Unemployment Insurance and would actually produce results). The possibilities in instituting such public programs are enormous and can't be understated. We could, instead of letting Wall Street gamblers destroy our economy and then bail them out when they're "too big to fail" only to let them get even bigger subsequently (I mean, seriously, did we let that happen?!), we could have used that money to fund thousands of small businesses at a low interest rate and help them grow. We could have trained an entire generation of engineers, technicians, doctors, and everything else. We could have refinanced all bad mortgages at a rate their homeowners can manage and help keep thousands of households from falling apart and stabilize the housing economy.
There are a thousand ways we could use our money more intelligently. The bottom line is this - government is a system we institute which is comprised of US...not corporations, not their vassals, but PEOPLE. Think of government as a giant robot. It's who's in the command bridge of that giant robot who dictate what it does. As long as we let monied interests and their familiars remain in control of that bridge, the giant robot will roll on the way it's been rolling on.
When the distinguished gentleman from Vermont moves into Pennsylvania Ave. (or even if he doesn't), when we surge with our new movement in the next midterms putting "Bernie" affiliated legislators into the Congress and gaining both houses, and when our SCOTUS is balanced in a sane direction, we can institute those policies with our shiny new 2017 GIANT FUCKING ROBOT.
Bernie Sanders is the only candidate that has any inclination to do any of the above things that need so badly to be done, and the future looks bright. All of the forthcoming primaries are in Bernie's favor. They are almost all "open" conventions, meaning Independents can cast their vote for whomever they damn well please, and caucus states that clearly show the strength we have in numbers which gets obfuscated by media trickery and voter fraud like they pulled in New York.
Sorry for the rambling post, but...I speak truth to you, my fellow patriotic American (and international) brothers and sisters.
