Benzos waste my weed?

I used to get a euphoric high from taking xanax and other benzos, but since being prescribed klonopin than switching to xanax xr I have to pop a lot more than I used to in order to get "high" because of my tolerance. The other night I took about 4 or 5 xanax bars and it just made me feel restless, bored, and forgetful absolutely no euphoria even though I was trying to get in a good loose mood. When I smoke weed over recreational doses of xanax it's like I can't even feel myself get high no matter how much I smoke, even though the bud was grade a. The next day i took some more xanax and felt the most depressed I've been in a long time and I've felt down since that night. Could benzos prevent me from getting high off weed? Obviously it's causing some severe depression too.
 
Id say look into tapering bro....if you wana get high off the xnx....your tolerance sounds high....some of us would OD on that much nax.....but you've obviously built that up, not on purpose haa....

It just boils down to you taking a high MG amount consecutively. ...that'll make anyone need/want more....be cautious though in case you ever can't get it or don't want to continue taking it because people who abruptly stop use of benzos, especially such a high amount, can experience seizures at the least.....you wana get high again? You MUST lower your dose for awhile. That being said you also have to consider the amounts as they lower because when you wana get high again and take too many....well ya know it might not be the most favorable outcome. Be careful, read around and search in older posts

I've had similar expiriences with xanax and weed before, but I think that was the final straw with abusing benzos. I only take 1 mg of xanax xr per day but maybe I should just taper off that? In the long run I'm beginning to think it could take a toll on my mental stability. My best euphoric highs come from opiates and weed anyways, along with other psychedelics and stimulants
 
That's good your down low man....must be hard in ohio, sike....shits tough....I'm on sub and my doc said 2 8g a day....I barely take half of one in a day because I don't wanan find out what tapering is like!!! However, I don't wana be on it forever, I believe its meant to be used for a few years at most...but its one of the strongest opies and even getting off a low MG dose is hell I have heard/read
 
I've been getting into the 10 mg methadones recently and I basically have constant access to buy them and I love em haha, bad news!
 
i take klonopin, have for five years maybe...
my tolerance took a major dive at a point. after this drop in tolerance, to where i could feel a bit of bloom from .5 where as before 10mg + was not noticeable.

smoking now, for medicinal resins, and then taking klonopin, ive noticed the mental effect from the bud cuts off, but the physical effects i need are there.
still frustrating some.

this has been on my mind too though, i dont like any part of this drug; or benzos...

Umm, no. You'd need to take one of those bottles of 200 2mg bars to even think about an OD. You'd most likely black out before you ever got there. One reason why idiots who want to kill themselves fuck up is by taking benzos. Chances are they don't have nearly enough with them and they just black out. Wake up feeling depressed because their such fuck ups they can't even kill themselves lol

Klonopins just make me feel like a zombie and I get mad benzo rage when I come down from them or when the half-life is still running through my system, it would just make me snap. The only way I could see myself enjoying them is with opiates because of the anticonvulsant properties. I'd love to live without having to take xanax I'd much rather just have medical marijuana. I can go days cold-turkey off benzos but the wds just get on my nerves, the disconnection from reality and the social anxiety especially.
 
I've skipped my dose and smoked instead plenty of times, the high is better and I almost like the anxious feeling because I'm so used to being calm from benzos that it almost just sobers me up.
 
I was initially just hoping the xanax would compliment the bud like it used to, but I guess with my tolerance it just dulls it out. The only real use for benzos I've found is to make work fly by haha
 
I combine benzos and weed often, but lately I've learned that benzos are best taken later, or maybe with alcohol instead of weed. I would say weed wastes my benzos as well, it adds an ugly emotional/ perceptual edge to things. My tolerance to both is so high that I take combos just to feel the drug. I don't get high/intoxicated anymore from weed, benzos and that kind of stuff, unless I drink a lot of alcohol (still gets me drunk like a pro).

The problem with benzos is that you can't just take a tolerance break. It's often a long taper, and once you're off why go back on after all that work? Benzo withdrawal is in a rank of its own. Damn pills...
 
Almost exactly one year ago I was using diazepam and morphine IV I would shoot one right after the other so for nearly 3 months I did that daily, all liquid medical solutions. I lost a job and I knew I had to stop or make an attempt. I went to Pittsburgh to stay with my buddy and withdrawal. All I did was smoke during my stay lol it was HELL I didn't sleep for almost ten entire days and I just shook.....the opiates hurt my body and the benzos screwed with my head, it was definitely THE worst thing I have ever experienced physically, mentally I knew what was going to occur, but damn I'm no match against myself. 100% pain for about two weeks, good thing I had off work
 
Benzos are bad news if you don't have an anxiety disorder or some other medical reason that you need them for. Just stick to the weed if it works for you. Increasing your benzo doses will most likely just make you depressed, it always did for me with the exception of times of extreme stress.

If you really do enjoy getting high on benzos try not to get a habit if you haven't already. Don't take them everyday. just my opinion though, we all have to learn from experience it seems like, especially round here!

I did the same thing you did which led to a long benzo habit that I still haven't kicked, fortunately it's stable now though. I can't smoke weed anymore, don't even want to. I think if you have to take a benzo with your weed it's time to take a break from the weed and possibly the benzos.
