Benzos Benzos safe with antibiotics?

I dont know the name of my antibiotic, begins with M and can be used for acne. Im on x2 200mg a day.

Can I take 2mg of etizolam on antibiotics?

Amoxicillin is probably what you are taking. Yes, as far as I know it is safe to combine the two.

EDIT: After doing minimal research, I found that it is unsafe to combine a benzodiazepine with fluoroquinolones or quinolones so if your antibiotic is in either of those family of drugs, do not combine the two.

Nah It was like mephiripromine or some shit. Generally speaking are antibiotics safe? I took 2mg of etizolam, I had taken my antibiotic this morning, so I guess I wont take the next dose now and just leave it till tomz

Some antibiotics interact with certain antibiotics, specifically liver enzyme inhibitors. It really depends on the antibiotic in question.

Sadly not much is known about etizolam (in comparison to other benzos) - so best to play it safe here. Tell us exactly what antibiotic you're taking and we'll be able to help you more.

ok hold on, it is trimethoprim 200mg. I just took 2mg of etizolam, this morning I took 200mg of the antibiotics.

Never heard of that being scripted for acne, are you sure it's not Tetracycline?

This resource shows no interaction between trimethoprim and benzodiazepines. It is safe to mix the two.
