benzos ? nasty feeling ? benzo users please respond

Used to be into them .. Could take up to 8 mg of xanax at a time.. So on .. Did them for a while.. Now I hate them opes are my thing.. But when I even take jus a mg of xanax or anything Valium or klonopin ' I get a nasty feeling In my throat almost like a cold feeling and increase of anxiety ? Anyone know why

I've never had that, but I've not used benzos recreationally, just for anxiety.

Lol yeah no one understands what I mean.. For example drinking a glass of water .. It just seems like its extra cold in my throat idk just unpleasant and yeah I understand .. For anxiety it would help then

I might know what you mean.

For me opiates with benzos (in recreational doses atleast) makes me hard to swallow food and as I have an addiction of Vanille Coke I have to keep some of my coke in room temperature as fridge cold cola feels like it is about to freeze my throat.

I alse get hiccups from largeish benzo doses and I guess they affect the functions of muscles in throat which causes that sensation (and hiccups as well as that swallowing problems).

@ mr root and kingopi, may be time for you guys to park the Xanax for a bit. Seems the benzos are offering you the opposite of anxiety relief!

THATS EXACTLY MY PROBLEM I FEEL the same way I hate em . that's why I quit them .. Strictly ganja and opes are my thing.. Benzos give me the complete opposite affect therefore I feel just flat out depressd

I have used benzos for a really long time. A few years ago i used to take HUGE doses "not anymore", i used to get the opposite effect once my doses exceeded a certain limit... i know its weird..
