Benzos kill my appetite?

A lot of my friends say they get "munchies" from taking recreational doses of benzos, but whenever I do it seems as though it kills my appetite significantly. Eating food just doesn't seem desirable and drinking carbonated beverages becomes very unpleasant and gives me a chronic case of the hiccups. Is this just an adverse reaction or is there a reason for this?
 
i have to agree with your friends man. I get mad cases of the munchies whenever i'm on benzo's. I mean different drugs do different things to different people. I do have a friend that agrees with you though. And i will say when i am on benzo's i dont eat bc i'm a firm believer that eating hinders your buzz...but yes i do get serious munchies on benzo's if that helps any
 
I will say that when i combine xanax and some herb, my appetite goes through the roof haha and it's not just the average munchies from weed. When I take xanax alone it's another story though
 
without a doubt.....i took 3 bars a little while ago cuz my 10 mg of IV'd oxymorphone wore off and im waitin on my dude to come through and i'm thinkin bout cookin up a chilli cheese burger with some fries....mmmmmmmm...yeah definately gonna be doin that
 
I agree with the OP. Things taste bland and seem to have a very odd consistency. Always has. Opiates on the other hand do make me want to eat. But on benzodiazepines, even water takes on an odd texture. I can't explain it.
