Scuba- even a mild habit, done over a long enough period of time, can fuck your head up for awhile. It's something you are going to have to outlast, there's really no other way around it. Give yourself a week and see how you feel. One thing that has been working for me is really low doses of ultram. It helps RLS and lets me sleep a little. Insomnia and RLS are two of the worst opiate w/d symptoms IMHO.

How long were you taking the Kratom? Months? Weeks?

My poor daughter went to Holland and went "cold turkey" she said she was so sick for about 2 weeks...at that point she felt better, she didn't use anything for w/d. The benzos will help you out a lot...lots of water and juices, get plenty of vitamins and you'll be fine. I would get off this stuff too, but I was in a car wreck and have too much pain to even try yet. I will have surgery next month in which the Dr. will take the screws and plates out of my foot. After that I'm getting off this stuff. Dr.'s make it so hard to script them to you, and the effects of buying them off the street is risky, and my bank account go down, down, down. I don't get it, people up here that sell them are on Mainecare....Five dollar scripts, then they turn around and sell a perc 15 for 25 bucks...I hate that.

<snip>

I'd say your better off going to a Suboxone doctor and getting some. It beats any benzo by 1000 times as far as withdrawal relief. You can go to www.suboxone.com to find a doctor, but make sure they will accept insurance or else they charge a high price for an appointment, like $250-$500. There are many here that will take you insurance and they will also write you a 90 day script which the doctors that charge won't because they make more money having you come back month after month.

Good luck!

This is a terrible idea..treating Kratom withdrawal is bupe. Are you for real? Talk about overkill.

I take the canadian version of lunesta which is zopiclone instead of eszopiclone (same thing just the racemic mixture) and in combination with clonazepam it works great for withdrawal. In low doses it's safe but at higher doses there is a very real risk of blacking out especially if you arent tolerant to benzos so don't go overboard.

Clonazepam is not my fav benzo for withdrawal because i don't find it that sedating at all and i find it to have less muscle relaxant properties then valium or temazepam. It is however great for anxiety and last a hell of a long time. I find temazepam to be the best benzo for opiate withdrawal by far because it's a good sleeping pill and just chills me out more. But benzos are very subjective drugs and everyone has their own fav.

15 percs for $25? Damn thats super cheap!

Benzodiazepines won't make opiate withdrawals a breeze but they will help with the anxiety, muscle pains and get sleep easier. Although you still will struggle. I'd suggest you take 2-4mg every 6 hours. Don't take the clonazepam for more than a few days because you don't want to deal with benzodiazepine withdrawals, those are worse.
