Benzos and My Sub Doc

I searched for answers to these questions and could not really find a definitive answer. Sorry if this has been answered before.

I had a sub appointment last week and got a two week script for subs and a followup appointment next week. I was not drug tested.

In the paperwork it asks if I am prescribed anything else at all and I said no. Well I am prescribed 1mg klonopin a day from my regular doctor. I was worried he would see I was prescribed Klonopin and not give me subs for fear of an od. It says if i lied about that i would immediately be out.

He asked about my drug history and I said that I occasionally take klonopin. I figured this might help if I fail a benzo drug test next week. I am still very worried about failing a benzo test next week though. I'm starting to think I should of just told him about the klonopin but it's too late now.

So I have two questions.

Can my sub doc see anywhere that I am prescribed klonopin? A friend of mine told me sub docs have access to a dea database that would tell him I was prescribed klonopin. Is this true? Is there any other way for him to tell?

My other question is he told me that at the followup next week he would more than likely prescribe a benzo. What should I do if he does? Assuming I make it that far.

It's best to be honest with your doctor if he is to be able to help you, if you have any major problems it might be better to try another doctor, sorry I can't properley help you. I assume you live in the us and I don't really know how things work over there! Good luck

If he said he will most likely prescribe a benzo then don't worry about failing future drug tests. What should you do? Just take what he prescribes you or save them if you are worried about an OD, which is rare with Suboxone. I'm sure they can look up what is prescribed you but chances are they won't. If you didn't tell him about your other doctor then he probably won't look up your past. If you fail a drug test just tell him that you got some from a friend or something. You most likely won't be prescribed them if you fail the test.

Here in Michigan they have a system called MAPS. It is a system that tells anyone that has access to it, every drug you have ever been prescribed and every doctor that prescribed it. It is a REAL bitch because you can't lie and the is no way to doctor shop in MI.

I assume some other states have this now as well and I wouldn't be surprised if they all don't soon.

Technology is ruining the ease of availability for prescription drugs. Pretty soon everyone will have a permanent medical history file that any doctor can look up which will end any kind of lying about pain to get drugs, doctor shopping and a whole lot of other things. Just some more BIG BROTHER.

Here's a few things that might scare you. If you have a laptop with a webcam on it or any computer with a webcam, did you know ANYONE with the right knowledge can access your camera and see what it sees? So if you laptop is on the desk in your room pointing towards your bed and you and your mate decide to do the nasty, you may just see it on the internet one day.

Right now on Manhattan island since 9/11, there are over 5000 security cameras and you can be seen from anywhere on the island if you are not in a building and most buildings have enough camera's to know where you are at all times as well.

If you think you have any privacy in the US anymore, you are have not been informed enough. I think they wrote an amendment to our right to privacy because we have none anymore.

The medical profession has the most access to private info so you should never try to lie to a doctor anymore. Those days just forgetting to mention some things are gone forever.

I also can not believe that he said that he would prescribe a benzo to you while on Suboxone because there is a black box warning about combining them. It is the only way to OD on Bup. and if the DEA found out, he would be in some real trouble
