Benzos Benzo's and Gabapentin

I have a prescription for Klonopin and Xanax, both 2mg. I medicinally take the Klonopin every once in awhile, and I rarely ever take the Xanax, usually I visit a village of greedy dwarves and exchange them for other goods.

Anyways I also have a prescription for Gabapentin (600 mg) and I was wondering something. I have been told that Neurontin is given to people for benzo withdrawal and I know it is a GABA Analouge, though I am not sure if Benzo's stimulate the release of GABA or their methods of action upon GABA receptors, but as for myself, I have never felt Neurontin really do anything similar to a benzo. Maybe it felt like a little bit more courage, in a way, and in large doses, like 9 or 10 grams, it gave me considerable energy. But I never took it while on benzos, and when I took it when I wasn't taking benzo's, it never produced the feeling of a benzodiazepine. Did not make a considerable difference in my anxiety; I think a lot of it was placebo effect.

So does anyone know if it would produce a stronger effect if I took neurontin on top of benzos? Like will the effect of Klonopin be enhanced? Or should they be taken separately? If separately, then why?

Thank you.

yes it will produce a much stronger effect. I'd take lyrica before the benzo but i'm not sure why, just the way i would do it.

First time I had zanax and gabopentin together they made me high as a kite. I did not know it would happen and it caught me totally off guard, helped a bit with the opiate withdrawel but didn't like the high. There is some reaction between the two, do a Google search,
