benzos after amphet - dull the edge or go to sleep?

hey y'all I just pulled an all nighter and I need to stay awake until at least like 8 PM. I was wondering if taking a benzo would help with the edginess but still allow me to stay awake? Hopefully if I keep the dose low enough? Or would a low dose do less due to "masking" from the stims?

I'm not sure but I think it would make you sleepy. I would do cocain and at the end of the night/ early morning I would take a soma and be out like a light. But that is what I wanted.

I don't thinking doing another stim with amph still in his system is good advice at all...

DroneLore: if you are experienced enough with benzos, you might be able to take a low dose without getting sleepy. It might be tricky, though, depending on HOW tired you are and what benzo you use. Benzos give me energy, unless I'm actually already tired, in which case I will sleep like a baby. be careful.

Soma is a central muscle relaxant. It depressed the central nervous system promoting relaxation. I took it a good 3-5 hrs after the cocain. But of course this was a good 15+ years ago.

Soma is a CNS depressant but its not a benzodiazepine.

As nsauce said, it depends on your experience with benzos. Different benzos do different things to different people (for example, I find clonazepam or lorazepam to be more effective at dulling down the amphetamine comedown - other people may find alprazolam more effective, etc).

It is a safe combination, however.

Low dose will take the edge off, while a higher dose will induce sleep.

Honestly though, I prefer a different approach.

I would go with a low dose of benzodiazepine to take the edge off, and a strong antihistamine (Mirtazapine would be the all around best) to induce sleep. Benzo's as I recall can interfere with sleep, and antihistamine's seem to give the most beneficial and healthy drug induced sleep IMO.

Your results all depend on the dose of the benzo. A tiny bit of clonazepam (.25-.5mg) can go a long way w/o making you too sleepy. A cup of coffee isn't a terrible idea when it comes to the later bit of the day as well.

Don't take too much and it won't knock you out. Remember to eat and drink plenty to recoup what was lost during the all-nighter too. Good luck.

I agree with everyone else. When using benzos to take the edge off of an amphetamine high, I use half of my normal benzo dose, and save the rest for the comedown. As SNR stated, you may want to use and antihistamine to aid in sleep when you are ready to try to fall asleep.

I can take 100mgs diazepam, 10mgs clonazepam or 20mgs lorazepam, and if I don't mix that with alcohol, I can stay up reading a book or watching TV and never feel "forced" to sleep the way I get if I overdo it with opiates. I find benzos relaxing but not sedating. Add just a few shots of alcohol though and it's quickly blackout city.

Point being, some people are more susceptible to the hypnotic effects of benzos than others. Take a single recommended dose if you want to risk it. Nobody here can tell you how you will react to it.

Sorry I mis-read that guys post, I thought he was saying to do cocaine until the night to keep him awake lol.
