Benzodiazepines (Xanax, Klonopin, Ativan, Valium, etc.) and Ecstasy (mega-merged)

Do valiums and E mix?

I just took some kind of speedy blow and then took some valiums to calm down.

I then took a yellow chickenhead (100% MDMA). Will the valiums I took have any negative effects on the roll?

And am I going to feel the roll at all?

I could probably answer this question myself in about 20 minutes, but I couldn't wait to hear what you guys have to say. I'm bored!
 
hey one night a few weeks ago i took 24mg of valium before heading out. Met up with some friends to have a few drinks. Because of my valium intake, i become nicely drunk from less drinks than it would normally take.

Later on i ended up dropping a pill. I don't know if it was from the valium or a good pill, but i experienced euphoria and was "loved-up" for the first time in AGES (having just broken my weekly pill bingeing habit)

Having said that though, I'd always thought that valium would not increase the effects of MDMA, and thought it best to assist comedowns. Also, i consumed the valium several hours before dropping.
So basically from my experience i think that combining valium with E won't lessen your roll (probably so if taken at the same time however.) but i don't know about enhancing it. I put it down to a good pill!

But do a search on it anyway, to find out the facts on combining the 2 drugs.
 
Okay, I'm definitely blowing the fuck up. I can barely even type this.

The valiums brought me down enough for the E to kick in. I took 50 mg's of valium after about 1/4 gram of some pretty speedy stuff.

I guess it can be done afterall.

Valium will take the edge off the effects of the pill to some extent. Do a search; there's plenty of info around.

In any event, I'm closing this before it degenerates into an "im so high right now" thread... take that to Drug Culture.
 
serotonin syndrome and benzos?

Seems as though lately I have been big on the whole Benzo/E related topic as I am trying to put more and more together. I have heard that Xanax and E can cause serotonin syndrome...Is this true?? It definetely does not sound like a lot of fun since I have been taking about 2.5MG Xanax daily for months and like to roll. Is there any proof of this causing serotonin syndrome? Also does anybody here have any advice on rolling with Xanax. If I take one pill usually its ok but I have not gotten to the point where I needed to take more then one pill. My tolerance is relatively low, I have took a big break from when I would do more than 3 a night. Would there be any negative side effects if I decided to drop another pill and then start feeling panicky and decided to take a xanax? Say then do the same thing, If I got panicky and took a xanax during a second pill and then calmed down and later took a third......just saying...i rarely get to that point but what I'm getting at is...is it bad to combine both if you want to roll more than with one pill but also use xanax to control the anxiety? Also what sucks with Xanax is I know when im off of it, being on it for a while has made me feel very shaky when coming down so I wonder if even while rolling if this would come into effect and I would feel the shakyness.
 
I dont think it does. I dont know too much about drug activity in the brain, but im quite positive xanax doesnt release serotonin. If it does, it isnt enough to cause serotonin syndrom.

Also, considering a lot of people live by taking xanax on E comedowns (myself included) and have never had any serotonin syndrom like symptoms, that it does not cause it.

About taking xanax mid-roll, i have done that only 2 times in the time ive been doing ecstasy and all it did was make me fall asleep. I had no bad health effects (to my knowledge) but i did wake up rather sweaty.

Take your benzo pre-roll (a few hours before) or better yet post roll when you're ready to sleep.
If you get a little panicky when taking E remember this is pretty common so try to keep active and occupy your mind even if it's only sipping some water it does distract the mind. I find going for a slow walk around the club or venue helps.
Try not to get into the habit of taking your medication to counter the stimulant effect of MDMA as all your doing is blunting the roll.
 
I'd like to input that many times that I have taken any type of benzo and tried to roll that night, that it completely kills it. I ended up taking 3 superb pills (strawberries) and not feeling one, as I have rolled off a single ne of these many times. Valium or Xanax, my girlfriend and other friend who had a small dose of valium a few hours before hand also felt the roll was killed.

So I won't dose any benzos at least 24 hours before I roll since the pill would be a waste of money and time. But they are lifesavers when your ready to fall asleep after rolling, a must almost.

Infact I would stop taking any medication (other then birth control for the ladies) the day that you'd think you'll be rolling. Wouldn't want to chance any weird reactions or side effects from interfering with any type of meds with mdma.

If you take xanax daily will it effect rolling?

Someone told me it will not make you roll as hard if you are on xanax daily. Anyone know if this is true? 8o
 
I take 2mg Klonopin (Benzo, just like Xanax) twice a day (in the am and in the pm) and always before I roll I tend to get very anxious and have actually eaten a Klonpin an hour before my roll and it did not effect my roll at all.

I don't eat them before I roll everytime, just a couple of times and had no problem. But, that could just be me.

I agree with the person above though on the making sure to save some for the comedown... a lot of people have major anxiety when coming down from a roll and any benzo on hand is always a good thing.

Just my thoughts.
 
Xanax may mellow your experience a little but you will still get fucked up. I wouldn't advise to stop taking it 24 hours before; you could experience pretty bad panic attacks during the roll or when you start coming down from the pill. If I were you, I would take my regular daily Xanax dose. It isn't worth having a panic attack; you can always take half an E and get more fucked up without anxiety.
