Hello,
Yesterday night and last thursday night I tried two of the benzodiazepines I did not experiment so far : Halcion® triazolam anc Lendormin® brotizolam. Basing upon what I precisely felt I found the following equivalences :
10 mg Valium® diazepam = 0.45 mg Halcion® triazolam or 2*0.25 mg Halcion® triazolam = 11.1 mg Valium® diazepam
10 mg Valium® diazepam = 0.40 mg Lendormin® brotizolam or 2*0.25 mg Lendormin® brotizolam = 12.5 mg Valium® diazepam
These equivalences seem too much accurante, but it is because I very well know benzodiazepines in general and these equivalences come from the result of a personal comparative evaluation of the 15 or 20 benzodiazepines I have tried so far.
Regarding onset of action, Both Halcion® and Lendormin® hypnotic and anxiolytic effect begin very rapidly, about 10 to 12 minutes. When action peaked it was just before going to bed, so 1 hour and 1/2 after dosing in both cases.
Regarding duration of action, Halcion® is very short-lived, about 3 to 4 hours ; Lendormin® is a bit longer, but still short too, about 5 hours.
The qualitative effects of these two molecules is roughly the same.
