Benzodiazepines salt?

What if you smoked it? ;)

I would say it is fallacious to think just because A hasn't been B before that is proof A will never be B.

Your search should have been as to whether it is possible.

Not trying to be an assole, but maybe I am.

I said clearly from my search I discovered it was not and never has been available in this form because it was not possible to prepare it this way. I already knew this intellectually from it's structure, but seep's post made me doubt myself.

Perhaps before jumping on the first attempt you see to "maybe be an asshole," you should read the post you're responding to clearly...

I can say with confidence that alprazolam doesn't form a salt, otherwise people would have been IVing Xanax for a long time (I shudder at the thought.)

Sorry, I was a little messed up. But at least I left open the possibility I was being an asshole, left in there a little humility. I agree with you.

I highly doubt this is possible. You would (more than likely) destroy the drug through combustion.
I know, and honestly, I wouldn't ever want to use that ROA for benzos, but I bet you many a person has tried. Orally is just fine.

I have a feeling many people have done it. I shudder with you.

I hesitate to post this, because I don't want to give anyone ideas, but I used to know someone who used to put sublingual lorazepam tablets into the barrel of a syringe, suck up some water, shake until they came apart into a fine powder that was floating around in the barrel, and then IV them. I'd just like to point out to anyone reading this, THIS IS A HORRIBLE STUPID THING TO DO, SO DON'T EVEN CONSIDER IT. SHOOTING PILLS WILL PUT YOU IN AN EARLY GRAVE!!!

It wasn't a pleasant sight anyway, it was total and complete oblivion, and not in a good way...

Reminds me of a documentary I recently watched (about a recovering heroin addict). The producers just looked on and watched while he shot up heroin and Temazepam together... couldn't believe that tbh...

AN imine IS a weak base but you can form salts with a strong enough acid. Look at clomethiazole and note it's the edisylate (1,2-ethanedisulfonic acid salt) that it can be made to allow a soluble version. The cost is high so MOST clomethiazole is the freebase in an oily basis. People who shoot freebase clomethiazole from caps say it feels like a mixture of poppers & alcohol. You have to be quick, it melts the plastic of the barrel!!! I think thats some kind of sign...

Live and learn, but don't forget to live!

Wow... no filtration whatsoever? That would be hard to watch someone do that terrible crap. *shared shudder*

And of course modazolam hydrochloride. Problem is, it's not so soluble in pH neutral water so it's rather acidic which can give pain.

I think if you made a water-soluble version of alprazolam, you'd fuck the world over with a new pandemic..

Little late... and see post 2
Midazolam is often as a tartrate salt.

Anyway apparently it's a Hcl salt too!

Edit: missed this

Is that why the benzyl alcohol is in it? Or is it contained in basic water?

I read it in a textbook when I was a subgraduate so we are talking 20 years ago.
