i actually think taking morphine to quit alcohol would be quite reasonable but taking benzos to quit nicotine is not a good practice.

yeah, hopefully i won't get any rebound from the bits i've been taking - but yeah i'm just gonna use the patch again and tonight'll be my last benzo for this presentation.

Either the drinker won't have substantial withdrawal symptoms in which case its overkill and unnecessary or they will and morphine won't stop the delirium tremens, seizures and potential excitotoxicity.

You will experience rebound anxiety, possibly some insomnia as well. Kpins have a longer half life then the shorter acting benzos, such as Xanax and Ativan. I get 90x 1mg Xanax a mth I get rebound effects although I burn thru my Xanax within 2 wks (due to tolerance now being at 4-6mg for effect) that's after a yr of 90x a mth.
My question is, anyone know how long of a break do you think I'd need to drop tolerance? Ive read once tolerance develops it takes a very long time to subside as the receptors are damaged and some may never come baxk

i was speaking of using morphine to lessen alcohol cravings, not to mitigate seizures or anything.
