Benzocaine hcl, novocaine base

I have recently bought some benzocaine hcl to use as a mix but it's not very nice to sniff it burns but numbs when I put in mouth but doesn't taste too good so I went and got procaine base (novocaine) but it doesn't not numb that well and does not really dissolve in mouth is there anything I could do to use any of these?
