I`m really having a problem getting off xanax. I`ve snorted it for 2 years and i`m taking klonopin to try and get off but I can`t get this ringing in my head to stop. It`s effecting my job performance, memory etc. Am I able to go to a doctor for help? I feel that I`ve given myself permanent damage, I really need help is there something I could take to stop this ringing in my brain

Welcome to Bluelight,

You can definitely go to a doctor about benzodiazepine withdrawal. A doctor keeps information confidential, and is concerned about your health and safety. I would go check it out if you are that worried about it.
I don't know if that would be super expensive or something though where you are from. I live in Canada you can just walk into a hospital and get looked at for free. 8)
Either way, I wish the best for you, and if you need someone to talk to check out, Recovery Suppport, there are many people in there with problems just like us trying to quit.

Welcome Dave & I went through the same thing after being on Ativan for a few years. It takes awhile for the kpins to start doing their job cuz they are a time released Benzo but shouldn't take more than a week or 2. I still have the ringing after all these years but it definitely gets better with time & that's all my Doc had to say also. Just takes time & hopefully you didn't do permanent damage. Hang in there Bro! R~

I would like to thank everyone for there guidance and help. Everyone seems sincere and concerned it`s nice to know there`s somewhere to turn to with genuine people.

I am glad you found that help here.
I had lots of help when I needed it.
I wish you all the luck! :)
