Benzos "Benzo Withdrawal"

First off try not to double post. That booking keeping thing aside, what are you talking about?

If your responding to kitsune's position, he's/she's going to taper under the supervision of his/her doctor.

Due to Gastrointenstinal issues (not caused by benzos, another problem) i'm being referred to a Gastroenterologist and from next week I will begin tapering with Xanax and eventually problem move to low doses of Valium (10mg) and taper from that. Have a break for a few months till my health is sorted, then just stick to binges (if possible) and will have to nip addiction in the bud if it comes about.

In your case, you're taking, as you've said, such a relatively low dose... Sooo?

And about the recreational effects of benzos, I can direct you to many, many trip report of their recreation potential: See erowid's k-pin "Glowing Experience" vault

Yeah I was just responding to kitsun specifically this:

In comparison to some prescribed or recreational long term users, my WD's if i even get any should be very manageable.

I just re-read and sorta missed that he's gonna taper with that MD... I just saw the huge list of gaba drugs and was like, are you serious dude? My bad

No worries, that kinda what I thought (as I often to the same thing with longer posts). Haha, I can see why you might have jump out at that ;) Would not have been fun without any taper or something such.

Lol it's cool man. I more so just hoping my taper will be not too bad, and prevent the high end W/D's like seizures etc. I know i'm going to struggle with rebound anxiety, Rebound Insomnia and probably be in an awful mood and ache everywhere. Also my tolerance is now pretty high, so I know it's gunna be hard. I'm just hoping for the best.

And Clonazepam even in high doses for me is recreational, all of my use of benzos is essentially recreational, the extra benefit to me is to relieve work stress. I do enjoy the feeling Benzo's give me, I also have terrible Insomnia which they're great for.
But I actually stay up on them and they make me feel relaxed and slightly drunk, especially Xanax and smoking Weed I find it very relaxing and euphoric with the Weed. It really helps with Antiemetic properties for my gastrointestinal issues and I get bad aches regardless and the muscle-relaxant properties of the Benzos really help with my bad back.

Also I will be starting my Prescription Dose of Trazodone 100mg's to help with Rebound Anxiety and Insomnia, so hopefully that will help with the tapering.

I know I'm a newbie poster to bluelight, but I do know what I'm in for, I just wanted any support really, wasn't the most well written as I am pretty fucked atm due to bank holiday celebration, so sorry for any confusion man.

first off, start my making your own thread, when the time comes I mean. then, you also have The Dark Side for support while you're taping and detoxing. they're really nice, cool people over there is TDS :) Helped me through my heroin detox/addiction/early recovery. And of course you have lots of benzo addicts, of all stripes, some still using others long into their recovery, so you'll get a good bit of well rounded feedback. I cannot stress how useful how TDS can be to someone in your situation.

given that you'll be under a doctor's supervision, especially one who, from what you've stated, knows what he's doing, means you'll suffer very little. Unless something really weird happens, you don't have much suffering in store for you (year some rebound anxiety/insomnia/depression/etc but these can all be managed with healthy living habits, assuming they're also being taken care of medication wise by your doc).

Unless your doc really drops the ball seizures and such severe w/d symptoms are almost certainly not something (*I hope*) you'll have to deal with. But again, this depends on what you work out with your doc.
