Benzo tolerance for diff. benzos when starting a new one

So if i was taking 4mg of kpina day and got switched to xanax, how much xanax would i have to take to complicate for the benzo tolerance i already had from the kpins? Or is xanax a diff drug so its like i have a lower tolerance on it then i would on kpins...

You would take 4 mg of Xanax because clonazepam and alprazolam are equipotent (0.5 mg clonazepam = 0.5 mg alprazolam). Xanax is a lot shorter acting and slightly more sedative. But they are equally anxiolytic.

Yeah i took 4mg, feeling a bit more stumly then i would on the klonopin thats for sure., thats why i asked him for ativan, olny had adivan once but i liked the effects, not too over powering.

Yeah Ativan is a bit less sedating than Xanax, but it is also less potent than both Klonopin and Xanax. You'll need more than 4 mg of Ativan to get the same effects as 4 mg Klonopin. In fact, according to the conversion charts, Klonopin is 2x more potent, which means you'll need 6-8 mg of Ativan (Ativan is slightly more sedating than Klonopin).

hmm, well than i guess ativan is out of the question. Its just that now that im on the xanax im getting that old feeling i had when i was addicted 4 years ago. Its more recreational then klonopin for sure. My doc gave me a month supply and said it was the last time he was giving it to me so i think i will be good.

Xanax is not much more recreational than Klonopin IMO. I think Klonopin's muscle relaxant properties are nicer and it ain't too sedative but it isn't completely devoid of sedative effects either. I think both are more recreational than Ativan, but all three are ultimately strong anxiolytics, mild sedatives. I think Valium is more recreational than all three of them, so perhaps you might want to give that a try.

Valium knocks me rite out from the muscle relaxant properties. I think xanax is just an axiolytic and klonopin and anxiolytic and anti seizure, so muscle relaxant properties to it, I THINK.

Such a subjective issue.

I used to like mxing Alprazolam + Diazepam but then the more i mixed them the higher my tolerance grew until it got to the point where i was eating handfuls, not getting the full effects of each Benzo let alone being able to tell them apart only from what they looked like.

IME though Lorazepam + Clonazepam never worked on there own or together.

Nowadays i try to limit quantity and variety of Benzos consumed, i know many rate Temazepam as there favourite, for me id go with Flunitrazepam, Flurazepam,Diazepam.

Now that pally just said his tolerance went up way quicker when mixing benzos then maybe i should chill on the xanax and klonopin mix? I mean i wont take more then 2 mg xanax and 2 -4 mg klonopin a day but im sure my tolerance will still go up quick even on such a low dose.
