benzo question

Hi

I've been taking about 50mgs of Valium a day for about a year and the odd lorazepam plus dhc 100mgs a day. I have just met an old friend who hooked me up with quite a few Xanax my question is would my tolerance to the vals cross to the Xanax and what's a good dose for me to take just to get me buzzed. Can I also take some of my vals with the Xanax? Oh and I had 1mg of etizolam earlier.

yea your tolerance will rise to the valium if you eat xanax too. yes you can take them together. I dont know what dose gets you buzzed. everyone is different.

It's too hard to answer what would get you buzzed..
I don't get a buzz from benzos anyway..

But, I love them..and they love me back.

You can take them together...you lucky duck!
You should start small and work up though...
especially w/the dhc...
benzo blackouts are easy to come by,
but hard to get over.
You don't want to end up on youtube drooling on yourself...
Potential employers/in-laws/children look down on that sort of thing.

Yes, there will be cross-tolerance. The benzo conversion rate is about 20mg valium = 1mg xanax, so use that as a starting point. However, if you have no experience using xanax, I would recommend using it by itself first rather than mixing.

There is cross-tolerance between all benzos. Start off with 2 mg of alprazolam (Xanax) as 2.5 mg of alprazolam = 50 mg diazepam. Leave some room for incomplete cross-tolerance because they are benzos that belong to different family groups. Take the alprazolam alone, as nAON said, don't mix the two.

BL isn't a resource to tell you what to take to get "buzzed".

We can't honestly gauge what dosage you'd need, benzo's are a tricky beast.
