Benzos benzo duration question

Hello yesterday 4/19 I ate 2 bars of xannax felt great... feel asleep early had a relaxing conversation with the neighbors,cut the grass.. (I remember everything I did somewhat.. nothing out of the ordinary..)

Now I know xanax is a short acting benzo compared to some of the others..

My question to you... Is it normal to still be feeling very sedated the day after? its 9pm.. and I did those 2 bars from 1pm-4pm yesterday.. I feel lethargic yet talkative..

No, due to xanax's short half life, i doubt that its the xanax to blame (my 0.2)

if you slept really, really hard and you don't do them often, if at all, then yeah. but if you do them all the time, i'd say no..

It has around an 11 hour half-life... if you are new to xanax then it's possible that you are still feeling some effects the day after. I remember having similar experiences with codeine back when my tolerance wasn't huge, and that has a way shorter half-life.

Yes, you may feel slightly sedated the next day from Xanax. Benzodiazepines can have a "hangover" kind of effect after you've taken them. Xanax makes me feel a little groggy/tired the next morning if I take it late at night the previous day.

Two xanax bars says nothing to how much the dose was, however it was probably a higher than normal dose, which would explain the after effect.
