I have a question regarding benzos...
I have only tried 3; phenazepam, etizolam and zolpidem (Z-drug I know, but still similar).
The issue is that it seems that I need to take much larger doses than other people, according to reports and such.
With etizolam, for example, taking 5 or 6 on an empty stomach will do barely anything to me, not even help me sleep most of the time. I once had a good experience with 5mg sublingual Etizolam, but it still left me feeling awake and coordinated, hell, I could juggle perfectly. 200 pills will barely last me 3 weeks, and doesn't noticeably reduce my anxiety. I of course started with small doses, such as half a pill as some people said that gave them a good time, but I've been increasing the doses slowly just to help me feel something.
Now, with phenazepam, I was going through 20mg solutions in about 3 days. Anything less than 4mg would do nothing for me. (And yes, I realize phenaz has a very long come up period, and I did wait). Trip reports indicate 1mg should be more than enough, yet here I am having to take 6mg just so that I can get into a tired mood. I did once have a great time mixing phenaz with MXE, incredibly trippy and relaxing.
All the sources are trustworthy, but I did try from others just to be sure.
Another issue is zolpidem, I manage to get one pill every few weeks, however the last few times, on an empty stomach, it too has done nothing for me, and this is directly from a pharmacy. It's a shame, since I love this chemical, despite only using it about 20 times in my life, and now it may as well be a sugar pill.
I don't understand why I have to take such large doses. I'm only slightly overweight, so that shouldn't be an issue.
I realize a lot of people say the effects of benzos are subtle and may be unnoticeable except to people you interact with, but I assure you that at what should be absurdly high doses, I'm able to function just as well as I do when sober. It may sound odd, but juggling has always been my test to see how chemicals effect my motor skills, and benzos don't seem to effect it much at all unless I go to doses which I'd imagine somebody with a massive tolerance would take. A single pint of cider would effect me more than 4 etizolam tablets.
I am usually on a nootropic regime (Mainly just oxiracetam), but I always stop it when taking drugs, so that shouldn't be an issue.
If I were to compare phenazepam, etizolam, zoplidem and phenibut, I'd say that Phenibut was the most effective for sleep and anxiety. Unfortunately I recklessly abused it and could no longer get anything out of it. Phenibut remains to this day one of the most potent chemicals I've ever tried. At higher doses you could lie in bed and be literally paralyzed within seconds before you fall asleep, wake up the next day and be unable to walk straight, yet feel extremely confident. This is kind of what I was hoping for from the likes of benzos. Maybe my expectations were too high, maybe I try too hard to feel something which can't be mistaken as a placebo.
I have had some decent experiences, but they seem to be 1/20. I don't find taking etizolam sublingually helps much. Instead I just crush it with my teeth and swallow. Has anybody tried plugging it?
(On the topic of Phenibut, I actually found Phenibut to be one of the most psychedelic chemicals I've ever tried. Slightly from the sleep paralysis, but it could get very trippy, lucid dreaming guaranteed. I went through 3 100mg tubs rather fast, so I had a slightly unpleasant withdrawal.)
Anyways, I've typed a little too much. I've been awake since yesterday morning and had a stimulant binge which is long over. Once the stimulation wore off I took 5 etizolam, waited 3 hours, took another five, waited longer, lying in bed. Then took another 2 just to help. That means that 12 etizolam tablets aren't powerful enough for me to even warrant a single yawn, despite the stimulation being long dead. It might be the camfetamine leaving a lingering stimulation, but from everything I've read about etizolam, 12mg should be able to knock anyone out - yet here I am, posting this with 12mg etizolam in my system, feeling fully sober and wide awake. It leaves me feeling frustrated when I read about people having massive stimulant binges and taking 3 or so etizolams and being able to fall straight to sleep. I'm desperate to just find one redeeming quality of Etizolam. Even a reduction in anxiety would make me praise it.
I realize this started as a question and turned into a rant. Here's my question, as a benzo newbie:
Is there any plausible reason that I have to take such large doses, yet still can't relate to a single trip report from any of the above benzos?
(Tolerance is impossible unless Phenibut is cross tolerant with benzos)
Sorry for the long winded post. And I really am a newbie to all of this, so be easy on me.
