Benzo Discussion Vol. 2

I have been prescribed 21 10 mg valium for the last 3 months and take em when i feel like it some days none some 1-2 some days none ..but yesterday i took none and tgis morniong i felt like shit so took 5mgs and it made me feel 'normal' - scary stuff for someone who doesnt normally do them very often.
BTW anyone ever do 50mgs oxezampam? they are nice and goofy.

i;ve had 2 35mgs oxazepam n they worked , relied my anxiety can;t say i got a buzz though.
hge tolernce saw 2 that.
 
I like the 50mg oxazepam pill too. I took one once, and I felt very relaxed and sleepy. Good stuff.
 
After seven (7) months of benzo use ( nitrazepam, alprazolam, temazepam & diazepam) 4 of which were daily use of diazepam - 10/60 mg per day, i finally went to see a doctor about getting on a taper plan.

She gave me 28 5 mg diazepam, 2 per day, as i told her that i simply cant get below 10 mg a day.

I'm guessing i'll have to go back in exactly 1 week, but she told me she'd be referring me to an addiction specialist centre.

Anybody have experience with this? I actually take around 15/20 mg per day currently but told her that 10 mg is the least i can get by on each day otherwise i'll be a wreck with headaches, strange muscle sensations, restless legs etc.

I've already taken 30 mg yesterday & 20 so far today ( idiot i know) i can get them on the street & online though too so i guess i'll have to either bite the bullet & go back to the doc early or score pills off my guy who sells his scripts.

My question what kind of rate will they taper me at considering i take 10/20 mg every day (plus the odd hypnotic) every day for the last 7 months? By how much do they reduce your dosage each week/month?

Monstanoodle (is that the right spelling of your username) can you give me any insight into a diazepam taper? Please & thank you.
 
With diazepam and 7 months is a long time, you should be dropping 2mg every 1 to 2 weeks depeneding on how you feel, the addiction specialists will put you on this and it will be much more comfortable.
 
As some of you know I'm on after after managing to get to 100mgs + of Diaz daily within 8 week of getting hold of them.

Its now day 7 of quite an aggressive taper and I'm down to 35mgs and all seem fine although I'm boozin a fair bit.

I've got another 15 days to go, I'll give myself a week or so then i have to get off the booze. I need to anyway but they wont give me CBT unless I'm clean for at least one month.

Good luck :) those daily doses you were on before were insane, I bet there were some nasty WD's off that alright..

Ohh dont lets start that all over again, my local off license is full of bottles of Scotch.

Although I do agree that, and I've learnt the hard way what the fact that you can get 1000, 10mg Diaz for less tan £40 to yuor door is insane concsidering the problems someone like me, who has real problems controlling any kind of drug intake. basically if I'm in possetion I'm taking it. I knew hat i was doing but for other reasons around my other mental problems did it anyway, I was dosing 10-20mg every hour or so in the last few days:|

That said I'm down to 35Mgs a day now and its not been that bad, I think I'm luck in 2 ways:-

1.) I was only doing this 100MGs + shit for about 8 weeks

2.) I must have some of Charlies tiger blood becuase i stopped drinking at the beginning of the year cold turkey from an intake of 15+ units a day, that wasnt great either but I managed to keeep going to work through out. Even kept off the booze for 3 months, before going back on....then thinking getting some diaz to get off would be a great idea8)
 
Fuck its down to 30Mgs today and its not been an easy day, not for any real reason just been on edge to the point I started on the booze at 5PM and its usually more like 7 or 8.

Ahh well haven't fallen off the Diaz Wagon yet and i split the dose in 2 over the evening so now just off to neck 15mgs and open a can of special :D
 
Phenazepam has been wonderful for sleep.
4 mg mixed with milk results in an almost instant 5 hour sleep which leaves me feeling rested and alert afterwads.

It also gives some crazy dreams.

I'm down to 25mgs a day, its getting a bit scarey as I've become quite attached to the old Diaz but it has to go .

Kess than 2 weeks of my taper left and its been that easy i might cut the doses a bit quicker but keep the same timescales
 
Thank fuck i've got my blues back, started eyeballing doses of phenaz out of a large bag for 2 days (sticking a pen nib in and licking) and thats renowned to end badly, locked the phenaz away. Treated myself today with 90mg but its back to the 20-30mg a day tomorrow, dont think i can taper that quick from there with just blues (i'd trade my left finger for a bag of 2mg uns to do it nice and slow, who would've thought..) so im just gonna stick at that for a bit.
Almost past the opiate WD's anyway, things are looking up :)

& MSJ's are meant to be really good, never had them myself but there up there with hk pharma blues etc which i've tried and were great.

nah, it's in a 1ml/1mg solution that I do trust, and when I started a ml dose was more than enough to put me in a deep sleep. A week later and I need over 3mg for the same effects

I like putting 3-4ml in a small amount of milk and downing it. Sometimes the effects can be felt within 10 minutes putting me to a comfortable sleep with extremely vivid dreams.

1ml of this stuff also tore 70mg of Methoexetamine to shreds. I took 1ml phenaz a little into the methox trip and had a nice zolpidem-like trip before dozing off within half an hour.

I can't find any uses for phenazepam besides sleeping...but it's the best substance I've ever used for that. The only problem is now i'm doing too much sleeping...

My largest concern is with tolerance, I need 4ml to do now what half a ml did a week ago...

I'm not gonna go crazy about this cos i don't want to offend people or owt.

But having had so much personnal excperience with Benzos i belive that i 'm in a position to have a very valid opinion.

N it is that the availibility of foreign / internet benzos in huge quantities for little money is extremly dangerous.

I was originally prescribed them about 16 years ago n things were alot different , certain older GPs would write a benzo script without even blinking.
This was a bad state of affairs , because their are still many folk like myself who are still on prescribed benzos decades after they were given their first script.

Anyhow i've seen how dangerous these drugs can be in a regulated enviroment , addiction , mixing with alcohol and potential for irrational behaviour are all very common.

So if u take these drugs out of any regulation whatsoever it's gonna create mayhem. As folk have said 1000 pills for £50 , 1000 pills ffs thats just asking for trouble , anyone with addictive tendancies is going to abuse them and probably end up dependent.

At the end of the day it is the NHS that usually is left to pick up the pieces as more and more young people are presenting themselves at GPs surgery with Benzo habbits that they have picked up from buying cheap internet drugs.

Also probably the most dangerous thing about this whole scene is the pills themselves are unregulated , hence the dosages are often less or sometimes far more than it says on the packet.
I have no idea how this should be tackled , but because i have had a longterm Benzo habit which is unpleasant to say the very least , it worries me that very young people are getting hold of potentially deadly drugs for little money with very little knowledge of how much danger they are putting themslves in.

Benzodiazipines were in the process of being phased out of Longterm use by the health authorities as they had realised that mothers little helper was in fact not really helping at all.

The advent of Online Benzo shopping has brought them once again in 2 thousands of medicine cabinets across the country and imo this is not a good thing , it will cause direct addiction and some indirect fatalities.

End of i have said all i want to on this subject .
 
I get your point, but before the internet was conceived people still sold these things on the street or (as you say yourself) doctors wrote scripts for fun and had no qualms about keeping people on the scripts long-term.

Of course there's a danger with cheap import benzos that people with addictive personalities might find a new addiction, but what about the people who generally feel some benefit from using them sensibly (which accounts for the majority of casual benzo users - the ones with benzo problems usually get at least a short-term script) yet their doctor point-blank refuses to prescribe them?

It's the lesser of two evils in my mind. While your concerns are well-intended and well though-out, the fact remains that people can and will self-medicate, whether that medication comes in a wrap of brown powder or a blister pack. It's the way of the world.
