I've been on 5mg diazepam 3x daily but my docs willing to give me a months supply at a time. The problem is they can get me angry. I flipped because i couldn't get weed. Im laughing now though. How long do i need to be on these for physical addiction to kick in? I've been on them 3 weeks.
 
Could take months, might have already happened. 15mg is a pretty low dose. Just stick to it, and taper when YOU are ready.
 
Quite impressed, got some MSJs and started getting horrible anxiety last night to the point where it was affecting my breathing. Just broke one in half (~5mg), under my tongue, waited and suddenly just after a few minutes everything clicked and seemed 'worked out'. After that got a great sleep and feeling a bit groggy this morning which is perfect for a Sunday sitting in bed! Best blues I've had in ages.

At the 3 week mark I would definitely be thinking about some degree of physical dependence, so I wouldn't stop abruptly without a taper. However, as Treacle said 15mg is not a huge dose and 3 weeks is not a very long length of time so it may be fairly mild at this stage - but everyone is different. If you feel they are not helping you overall (some people do get paradoxical symptoms with benzos including anger) or you are worried about taking them longer-term then I would speak to your GP about weaning yourself off them but otherwise I'd just try to not let your dose escalate. It's always good to review the need for a benzo script regularly and to make sure when you are ready to come off it that you do taper them at a speed that is comfortable for you.

Do you think the anger is caused by the benzos or could it be due to other things, it's just that the benzos aren't masking it fully? Perhaps you could think about whether there is anything else that might help you such as counselling/talking therapy eg CBT/exercise..
 
So I am after some advice here.

Background been a heroin addict for 7 years before (about half smoke, half IV, last 15months I was prescribed IV MST 0.480mg/day, 30mg temazepam and I generally took a few [3-5] 10mg vals on fri and sat) but I am 10 months clean in 5 days.

Now living in spain and been taking clonezepam for about 3 months 2mg in the morning and 2mg at night.

Most likely addicted as your not meant to be on it for more than 4weeks IIRC, So I just took 10x2mg Clonezepam about 30mins ago, about 3 hours ago I had 4 pints.
I took 5x2mg, then went for a walk to the petty station on the walk I took another 5 (2,2,1 at a time until they dissolved under my tongue). Bought 2litres of beer (strong in Spain 5.2%).

I think I can feel the effects, just gonna drop the last 2 now. I got about another 80 left but I need them to maintain myself.

What you reckon? In for a good night? Or is my tolerance going to be too high? I've heard benzo tolerance doesn't really go down much (like opiates, 9months off and I still need to IV 240mg of MST for a gouch/nod).

Have I overdone it? Am I going to wake up destroyed? As long as the night is good I can handle tomorrow will just take an extra tab in the morn and get bang on the coffee.
 
Sounds like you've got to the point where benzos dont really effect you recreationally anymore, either duds or that cause most people wouldnt be able to type properly after that, same with me taking handfuls is a waste of money/tabs and they just work for anxiety relief after a couple month break
 
Latest batch of red 2mg etizolam pellets seemed to be a bit of a letdown... Anyone else been getting their hands on that flubromazepam?
 
i got some MSJ's last week , and they're the strongest one's iv ever had, easily as strong as my scripted 5mg actavis (imo) or maybe stronger .they got a score on one side and MSJ's on the other , never had that on them before, No been drinking on them, so that says loads about them.
They really very good , and im goin to have a load up while there this quality.
 
quick question here, i have been (stupidly) using diazepam to counter anxiety and insomnia for around eight months. The dose ranging from 10mg-40mg per day. For the last few months i have been using alprazolam with an average dose of 4mg per day. Now im pretty sick of all this foolishness and want to start a taper and to stop all together (except maybe comedowns).
So my question is, should i attempt a taper my self or see a doctor about a taper? will the doctors treat me as an addict from now on? will it affect the treatment i may have to get in the future, say with pain killers or something similar? and is there any way it could affect future job prospects? any help appreciated
 
If you can get a sympathetic Doctor then i advise that route . Try a Doctor that has been practising for at least 20 years min. A new Doc. won't touch benzo's .
When you see the Doc. try & read them b4 you spill the beans . If you get me ?

cheers for that brimz. any ideas how going down the "official doctor" route might affect future treatment would they treat me as a "junkie pill guzzler" not to be trusted with nowt but paracetamol? or are they more sympathetic, cheers
 
I'm a proper addict was registered ( when they had to do that ) back in 1995.

It's going to go on your notes for sure it's up to your Doc how they put it . You don't want a red mark .
That's like a mark on your file to say that you are a potential Drug Seeker . Hence the importance of getting the right Doctor & striking a good trusting relationship.

hmmm. im still quite tempted to buy some as its cheap, just for the odd painful comedown or insomnia. Im not big into benzos but I do find them useful every once in a while.
 
Long half life, and the being widely available in powder = multi day blackouts which loads of otherwise responsible users have found themselves in prison or have done stupid shit. Also they feel weak and like they dont do anything so people end up taking more thinking its low quality when its really just a shit benzo
 
Phenazepam = ADDICTIVE AS FUCK. Started off with 2mg a few night ago. Am now up to about 90mg per day within about 4 days. :\

I love i. Its like the relaxaation of being completely drunk, but without seeming to cause the loss of the higher 90 % of brain functionalty.

If i have any sense left to overridre an apparent self destructive streak in me i need it NOW.
