Benzos benzo binge ( a little worried )

ok so for lack of not having any opiates besides subutex ive been taking alot of benzo's the past month... the first week i was taking 2 to 4 mgs a day then for the next to weeks it was around 7 to 10 mgs of xanax the past week ive een taking about 4 to 5 mgs a day ... every time i get some more i plan to tapper but i dont know what a good taper would be ..would i even need to taper ..

ive been prescribed clonazapam since i was 10 years old on and off and never abused them and only took them when my anxiety was bad..know that my anxiety is crazy i cant get a doctor to prescribe me any benzo's because ive been to the hospital a couple times for opiate withdrawals and the past few doctors i went to looked up my hospital records and wont prescribe them to me .... but i remember when i was 14 and had been on only 1.5 mg a day for a year and my insurance ran out so i just said i wont take them anymore .. at this time didnt even know that you could get withdrawals from benzo's but i thought i was just going crazy ..major anxiety ,twitching all day and really thought i was going nuts.. well i think it helped me not knowing what W/D were at the time and i got threw it ....i just don't want to go threw that again any1 have a good short taper plan i should do ...also my DOC is opiates what i live for and will have a good amount of wonderful opana's in less then a week and i don't want to be doing benzos on them ...

any help..tips..are appreciated... thank you my fellow BLs ...ps sorry so long

I go on random benzo binges myself, but I always keep a low dosage, never more than 2.5mg of alpraz or clonaz a night, so I never had w/d as bad as someone with a dose higher than 4mg/day would.

What I usually do is use the clonazapam as a 'self taper', not sure how it works in higher dosages, but for me it is good.
Take an amount of k-pin equivalent to your xanax dosage, then wait as long as possible untill you dose again, and cut the dosage by .5-1mg each time, depending on how you feel. If you feel fine, try to cut more off, but when you get to the end, taper more slowly than you did before as it gets more tricky.

The long half life will mean less dosing, waiting to dose until the w/d hits will make the taper more effective in my experience, as opposed to trying to prevent the w/d from even starting.
You can probably do it with the xanax as well, but it is much harder for me as I want to dose it alot more often because the w/d keep coming back, especially when you've gotten lower. Xanax XR might be a good choice, but I have not tried it for a taper, just for anxiety.

This is my w/d plan, and btw.. I can do like 6 mg of xanax before I am even slightly effected...but anyways....I do a week of benzos, followed by a week of opiates.....Always works..Thier may be a one day of feeling like shit after each week buutt.. a little sleep and the next day your fine..as a matter of fact I just came off an opiate binge, and have been doing focalin all week..and I feel great.......

Prescribed benzo's aged 10??
What the fuck kind of doctor did that ffs....should be struck off imo.

Anyway, get the benzo's illicitally if you have to, & taper at a pace thats comfortable for you.

And remember, none of this is your fault so DON'T feel guilty etc..

yea i dont get whats so hard about figuring out a taper plan that works for you????...I mean, the whole point is to make it so its comfortable to you and doesnt cause any problems medically...and you are the only one in your body so you would be the only one to know how to do that and how it feels when you lower your dose a certain amount.

Just slowly lower your doses....making sure your not going through any serious withdrawals....until you reach the level of benzos you want to be at.....its that simple.

I dont get the problem.

thanks guys i appreciate the help ... benzo's have never been my DOC and at one point i was put on 8 mgs of clonaz a day...thank good i never took more then 2 mgs a day and would never take them everyday... i guess just from moving to a new state and lack of finding opiates i just dug myself in a little hole i thought i never would .. but after just one week i would need to take 4-5 mgs for it to feel like 2mgs of xanax usually does ... i must just have a natural high tolerance to benzo's even taking 10mgs a day i was functioning better then i normally do ...
