Ok, sorry in advance that this is kinda long. First off, i am prescribed 5/325 mg percocets 3 X day and xanax 1mg 2X per day. I've had some issues with the xanax, it was either lost by me or stolen. So yesterday i ended up taking some valium to avoid going through possible withdrawal as well with my anxiety. I took 25 mg spread throughout the day yesterday as well as my 3 percocets, the pharmacist said this was okay combo. And this morning i took 5 mg valium because i was starting to have one of my usual panic attacks. About 4 pm the UPS arrived with my early script of Xanax. I took it when i got it along with my 2nd percocet. And tonight within the past hour i took my bedtime percocet, and 1/2 mg of xanax. I didn't think about the lasting effects of valium when i took the xanax's when they came into today. So far i feel okay. A little sleepy because i only slept abou 4 hours but other then that i feel okay. Will the "long half life" of valium from the course of yesterday and the 5mg of this morning make something happen? (yes im paranoid of overdosing and/or mixing medications) im sorry for the long post. Thank you in advance.

You've already got a tolerance to both benzos (Valium and Xanax) and opiates because of your Percocet (oxycodone) prescription. While Valium (diazepam) does have a long half life, it's effects at this time will be slight. You'll be fine. :)

I just wanted to add that i've been on pain medication for about 3 years for chronic pain (at one time i did abuse lortabs, but now take them as prescribed) and have been on benzo's for about 2 years. So I am somewhat tolerant of these, but my mind gets to racing and worrying (hence the xanax). Thanks again.

OP, you'll be just fine :)

Because the topic of opiates + benzos and tolerance has been covered many many times, I'm to go ahead and close this thread. hippychick1979, feel free to PM me if you have any other concerns.
