Benzo Addiction

^I have heard its the opposite to this - the ones with the shortest half life. Here they switch ppl to diazepam due to its long half life, for ppl on temazepam, lorazepam.

Negrogesic - I am in a similar situation and its sucks. Although i have got down to small amount of bupe and valium from high amounts of 'done and H - its still a bitch. I did this myself without any wankers telling me what i am going to be on and when to reduce. But this has its drawbacks as its easy to slip back without guidance - swings n roundabouts as the saying goes.

My doctor gives me 1 mg lorazepam in the morning and 1 mg lorazepam + 5 mg nitrazepam to TAPER. I don't know how he thinks, I wanted clonazepam for tapering. Anyway, yeah I agree that Xanax is the worst one to come off of...I've been on various benzos for "recreation" for two years and tried to taper unsucessfully a while ago. I'm still trying...it really isn't easy to taper off the things. Good luck!

This probably belongs to the dark side, but has anyone had any luck with tapering with a smaller dose benzo + alcohol instead of a full taper dose to speed things up?

The best way is to taper off. Try dissolving in water and after 5days drink only 9/10 of the solution, then after 7days 8/10 and some on. It really helps
