Benzo addiction questions

If your have anxiety now, long term benzo use will make it 100 times worse. You do NOT want a benzo addiction...it takes years to recover from. Be very careful with how you take Xanax in particular. It may feel good now but you will soon find yourself increasing the dose frequently, and having a host of negative side effects such as worse anxiety, blackouts, memory loss, and siezures if your script runs out too soon and you have no other benzos. I don't want to discuss recreational doses of the various benzos here because I don't want to facilitate an addiction that may ruin or end your life. Believe me, a benzo addiction is hell, benzo recovery is hell...it changes you and not for the better. I beg you to exercise caution when moving forward with this class of drug.
Great post.

I should have mentioned in my post that I do have a panic disorder. I have had since I was 17. I'm now 34. I agree, unless you need them don't touch them.

When I first started taking them it was the first time for years I could relax in public.

Before you know it they have you by the balls

My apologies, I thought you were taking them just one a week without a reason besides getting high. Sorry for the mistake.

I have to take benzos Unfourtanetly. Due to some pretty severe PTSD and some anger and rage issues. I have been on and of for about 11 years. I would be on for a month or 2 then off for a few. I have been on them know daily for a year and five months and I try to never go above 3-4 mgs a day. Unfourtanetly I have been taking prescribed opiates for the past 8 months.

I am going to try to get off the opiates first but it's hard as I will be a disaster without the benzos.
