What is the dose different people take for a recreational abuse of benzos. I only wonder to compare it to my normal dose of benzos. On a heavy day I take 12-16mg over 4 hours and on a light day 6-11 over at once. I generally take 4-6 at once. Thanks for your information

I've tried diazepam, lorazepam & alprazolam. I find lorazepam the most sudative and least recreational. The next would be diazepam, great for come downs (although be careful it can mess you up if taken like this). The best and most fun is defiantly alprazolam. Great feeling of well being, I used to like to do high doses and drink an energy drink, put me in a nice place where I wasn't drowsy but still had that nice buzz.

I'm currently withdrawing, cold turkey from alprazolam & diazepam. Just over two weeks now so through the worst of it. It was awful. My teeth hurt, my stomach ached, I felt confused, anxious, head aches and a heap of other stuff. Benzo's are good fun but tolerance and dependence can sneak up on you. Especially the Xanies. Man the more of those you take the more you need.
Try to keen it to once a week.

Once a week LOL!!! Don't even start. If u don't have anxiety leave them alone. I knew nothing about benzos until the VA pumped me full of them to keep us Vets from fucking up, the VA DR's don't want to be responsible for a Vet going off. They are refereed to as the Don't kill pills. Klonopin most widely prescribed by the VA.

What is the normal dose of an addict who abuses. I would like to understand the mentality of the addiction. And also a description of the life of a benzo addict. Why is it so deadly to withdrawal? What causes wd seizures. I appreciate any and all input

I don't really have answers as I'm an opiate addict. All though I could probably guess the life style of a typical benzo addict pretty accurately lol. But I'm just trying to figure out why you're so curious? Self introspection? Or research? Or just a desire for understanding pure and simple?

There is no normal dose. Dose is completely dependant on, as stated above, which benzo, how long you have been addicted and other factors to.

When I kicked my Etizolam habit i would easily eat between 10-30mg/day. At 10mg/day i was only safe from WD's no buzz. It took me around a year to get there.

Alprazolam happens to be my DoC. It makes me curious because I love xanax as a drug. And I am probably getting prescribed klonopin daily so I feel like it will be an everyday thing soon. My anxiety is becoming overwhelming. When I get anxious and my bp goes up I get angry now. Used to it was fear and panic attacks. Now I want to lash out. Would klonopin be useful for this type of anxiety still? Along with the fact that I have pseudoseizures.

I keep reading about the rc etizolam. Is this still available. I've not understood The process of finding or receiving it

Don't get on that train. It's really not worth it getting addicted and raising tolerance to benzos.

It's around 1 year since i kicked my daily habit of Etizolam. And my tolerance isn't going down. If i wan't to feel it it's right back at the same amounts.

So if Alprazolam really is your DOC you better not fuck it up. Some day in the near future you cant feel it no more.

Is there anything like etizolam that is less potent to keep the tolerance manageable. Why is it so much more potent?

Etizolam tolerance will kick in very fast, you will want to feel good again and get something stronger. When that tolerance goes up your fucked.

Swim has been blessed with a low tolerance. Approx 4 years and Swin still get a decent buzz off 1.5mg of Xanax. Although they prefer to take 2mg but if they really wanna go all out and get really fucked they do 4-6 never maxing 8mg.

Most likely you're having backlash anxiety from your abuse. Slow it down if you can. Start to taper off. When I was taking mass amounts of Xanax for my anxiety it made it worse. Now I can take 1.5mg be calm and a little high. You probably know this but, Xanax works by blocking anxiety production. When you block that a mass amount and for long periods of your time, your brain freaks out when it's not blocked. So basically, it starts to produce much more anxiety because it knows it'll get blocked again. If that makes sense.

I should have mentioned in my post that I do have a panic disorder. I have had since I was 17. I'm now 34. I agree, unless you need them don't touch them.

When I first started taking them it was the first time for years I could relax in public.

Before you know it they have you by the balls

benzos should be thought of like a fire alarm....use that shit when its an emergency if not expect trouble
plenty of other things to use ssri, snri, beta blockers and the list goes on and on if you have daily anxiety
i dont have anxiety like before but i still use xanies from time to time and have been doing so for over a year
i can also say every time i take one it hits me hard like the first time i ever took one because i use it PRN the way i was told to take it and it works
i'm still hovering around a .125mg to .25mg dose a year later

Well, for example, my GF is prescribed 4 mgs of xanax per day. In the past it was as high as 8 mg. I think 8 mgs of xanax is the most a doctor can legally prescribe you, and that's way too much for anyone who doesn't have severe PTSD or something. Maybe that gives you an idea of what's "normal"

If your have anxiety now, long term benzo use will make it 100 times worse. You do NOT want a benzo addiction...it takes years to recover from. Be very careful with how you take Xanax in particular. It may feel good now but you will soon find yourself increasing the dose frequently, and having a host of negative side effects such as worse anxiety, blackouts, memory loss, and siezures if your script runs out too soon and you have no other benzos. I don't want to discuss recreational doses of the various benzos here because I don't want to facilitate an addiction that may ruin or end your life. Believe me, a benzo addiction is hell, benzo recovery is hell...it changes you and not for the better. I beg you to exercise caution when moving forward with this class of drug.
