"How much do I need to take to get high" isn't allowed here. A large dose of diphenhydramine (probably anything over 125mg, maybe less, I've never taken an excess of it) is a dissociative and I've read very little about it being pleasant, and mostly about it being miserable. If you take 50mg, the amount usually necessary for sleep, it may potentiate any opiates/benzos if you use those, or just otherwise feel sedating. Not really a drug worth taking too much of. No pros, all cons.
 
this is a popular thread topic. the consensus seems to be that a high-dose of benadryl is dangerous, harmful, and horrifying. though i'll admit i cannot give a first-hand opinion--for obvious reasons.
 
Benadryl gives allergy relief and not a "high".

Any mental effects are the result of you poisoning yourself, basically.

Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a deliriant, not a dissociative.

To answer the OP's question:
I'd say around 200-250mg your first time (maybe a little lower), if you really are sure you want to do it. It can be absolutely terrifying. It's basically psychosis in a little pink pill, and this has been said many times.

PROS:
-hallucinations (maybe a pro, doubtful though)
-muscle relaxation

CONS:
-complete delirium that could result in all sorts of difficult situations
-restless legs (for me at least)
-hallucinations that are literally indistinguishable from reality
-slurred speech (dose-dependent)
-impaired motor function (with some people)
 
Fuck deleriants and fuck DPH abuse. The experience is, for most, rather unpleasant and the side effects are quite uncomfortable IME.
 
Yeah oops, I meant delirent. Typo really, not gonna bother fixing since there are responses with it :) But yeah, lots of benadryl = bad news bears according to all of our advice OP.
 
thanks guy...i think ill pass on taking it. i took 100mgs and felt a little strange almost panicky so..yeah not going to take anymore of it lol
