I couldn't sleep for days after quitting opiates (fentanyl). I tried using super small amounts of fentanyl just to sleep, but that was hard, will power wise, and even after just doing 1/5th a g a day for 5 days I still had insomnia when my g ran out

The trick I found was Benadryl, but you need like 4-5 25mg tablets. That's like over the recommended dose but not enough to make you trip, just enough to make you super tired. It even overpowers nicotine if you can't stop chain-vaping long enough to sleep. Unisom didn't do anything, melatonin didn't do anything, just Benadryl. I started with 2, then 4, then 5. 4 worked, but it's so good I figured I'd try 5, and 5 is better. If you're under 200 pounds, maybe don't do 5 - but I think you can push it to like 8 without tripping or at least not tripping bad.

Anyway, just wanted to share, because I wasted days I could have been sleeping eating stupid melatonin gummies. I was even thinking of using kratom or getting on methadone, but lo and behold, Benadryl worked. Insomnia was my last symptom. I beat the depression, and now I really don't want anymore opiates.

They say you can never do "enough" dope, but I think I finally did. If I hit the Powerball and knew I'd be rich forever would I go get dope? Maybe. But I'm at the point in my life I actually want to have something again. I'm glad I stopped. No judgement to those who aren't ready to quit though. The war on drugs is fucked up, everyone should be able to choose to get high if they want, on anything they want - if it wasn't illegal it'd be cheap and no one would have to commit crimes for drugs. 90% of crime would probably be gone if hard drugs were legal... Least Benadryl is OTC and nicotine is legal.

It's absolutely great to get off of recreational drugs, because the only 'good' feeling is one of retardation, inability to think, and this is what luls you to sleep. However, anticholinergic drugs have been linked time and time again to memory disorders and as much as certain papers pushed by health agencies claim it to be safe for everyday use, it is not. I would recommend looking into other things, maybe a prescription with less side effects (clonidine is one I'd love for sleep). Look into anticholinergics and dementia.

Zyrtec works great for me. And I get a whole bunch of refills. And no one says anything about it either.
Just the medical tech was happy that I was feeling it though. She seemed happy for me too.

I was just recently thinking of starting up on them for some amazing dosing. It's like half way between a stimulant and sedation to me.

Highly recommend.

Edit: Not as a recreational. lol. As a Comfort Medication only.

I've tried that in the past, but I get horrible restless legs if I take more than 50mg.

I have a super high tolerance to most drugs, but I'm hypersensitive to Benadryl for some reason. I'm glad you found something that works though.

I'm lucky that my antidepressant Remeron (mirtazapine) helps me relax and sleep.
