Belladonna alkaloids with phenobarbital tablets

I think he loved what he thought was serotonin syndrome. Anyone who has actual SS will not enjoy it.

Still, it's retarded to even think you would enjoy such a thing.
 
i watched my grandfather have SS from being on lexapro and tramadol at the same time.. its not "fun" in any way, shape or form. and just for you saying that i wanna smack you upside the head and try to knock some sense into you..


Edit: at least i think it was SS he had.. he was sick as hell, couldnt walk w/o help, was inducing puking on him self cuz he was so dizzy and nuasous. it was pure hell for him. and to watch him go through that was horrible. But the Dr's said he was just allergic to the meds.. thats funny cuz he was on lexapro for 2 and 1/2 years w/ no trouble untill he had surgery on his mouth and they precribed 100mg of tramadol ever 4-6 hrs.

yeah that sounds like SS. im not the only person iv met that finds it an "enjoyable" experience...and taking 4th plateau dosages of dxm while on lots of an ssri for a long time didnt cause serotonin syndrome? the doctors who diagnosed me with it the first time it happened were wrong? and im wrong about knowing i did the same thing to myself and experienced the same feelings and enjoyed them multiple multiple times? i oughta smack YOU, jeesh... yeah it is scary the first time you experience it. lots of intense experiences are (sex, cliff jumping, sky diving, etc.)...

some people just enjoy feeling "NOT NORMAL". dont matter how exactly i feel other than plain old every day boring "normal". if i feel sick as a dog GREAT...i just got over salmonella and i liked the week of pain nausea and inability to eat. it was fun! i hate feeling NORMAL. you know how there are people who ACTUALLY ENJOY pain? im one. everyone experiences things from different perspectives. you gise seem to have such a close minded view of things.

anyway, i still havent found the right time to experiment successfully with these pills. i just got a fresh script so ill try 10-15 of them right now. thatll be about 4 more than iv taken at a time without noticing effects previously.

so here goes nothing 8(

This is not going to be fun at all.
The belladonna alkaloids are to deter abuse. The phenobarbital is what is actually stopping the spasms. It is designed to become very uncomfortable in high doses. Also note that these pills are extended release. Do not crush these pills, as all of the alkaloids are released at once, and will make you sick way before any enjoyment will come out of these pills. I know, I had a case of cramps and also looked into these pills for a good time. It failed epically as presumed.
 
I doubt there are enough belladonna alkaloids present to cause psychoactive effects in safe doses anyway and getting that much of those alkaloids would probably mean overdosing on the barbs not a good way to go.

yes. not just kids though. ignorance from all age groups. and anyone actually knowledgeable about substance abuse wouldn't want anything to do with those pills and will not know much about them. if you wanna look into extractions, do your own research and find out what is soluble in what. you don't need us. shut up and do whatever you want with your pills. post a something about it in the Trip Reports forum when you are done. or don't.

on another note, captain H, i am curious as to why you are saying benzos are more abusable/euphoric than barbs? i mean, i have never taken any barb, but i heard seconal and nembutal were supposed to blow benzos out of the water. of course, when something is gone or hard to get all the sudden it is great, but you are the first person i have heard say benzos are better.
 
Everything in the pill is nicely water soluble, so no "easy" extractions can be done on these pills.
And these pills are indeed extended release, and a belladonna effect will happen if even half a pill is crushed.
 
A version of these were marketed by Sandoz in the 70's as Bellergal, "Belladonna - Ergotamine Tartrate - Phenobarbital tablets (anticholinergic, antispasmodic, sedative)".

My grandmother had them prescribed for menopausal syndrome, such as hot flashes and mood swings. I have a bottle of them with quite a lot of small, pink sugar-coated pills left, but I have never dared to try them.

Please let us know what they are like if you try them! (But for abdominal cramps I would rather use papaverine HCl tablets, or Buscopan.)
 
I don't know where you are in the US but in California many variations of Jimsonweed (Datura) grow all over the place- people's front gardens, outside of schools, in parks...all you have to do is boil it and make a tea and you can have that unpredictable, schizophrenic, life endangering trip that you long for so much :)
 
i'm sure the belladonna alkaloids are there to prevent abuse of the phenobarbital, as they are also mixed with opiates in some pills for the same reason.
 
A little of topic, but here's my story about these-

I got a frantic phone call from a girl I know who had failed a probation UA for barbituates and didn't know why. She thought maybe the 2c-e I'd given her was to blame, I explained that isn't possible and looked through her meds. Seeing these I told her to take the bottle in and the problem was solved. So anyway she offers to give me some but I passed. I never turn down free drugs, but belladona alkaloids? No thanks.
 
Belladonna are indeed put in there to deter abuse and also in right doses as sedative.
In Russia phenobarbital us OTC however they started putting alkaloids in there so kids and problematic adults don't abuse it. However, I think it does more harm.

This is probably the bravest poster if he voluntarily wants to take something that is considered a poison. Oh and also enjoys Serotonin Syndrome. Hi 5 for being so bold and brave bro!
For real tho, I understand the whole I can't stand being old, sober myself sometimes but there are better ways to feel different and inebriated. Go to the corner store and purchase shit load of alcohol, drink it, feel different, live another day without delirium...what a concept!

I see this is an old post but I was surfing around for belladonna info and found this. I think the deleriants are pretty interesting especially since I learned that Dramamine is so closely related to the likes of things as wild as datura and Bella. Crazy! Anyhoo I should prob go intro myself in the intro forum.

One point I did want to make is (as far as belladonna being added to these GI type drugs as a deterrent for abuse) that from what I've read, tropanes are good for your digestive problems in proper doses. So I don't think they were added for that reason. That Would be comparable to putting rat poison in cough syrup just so those darned kids won't take too much just for fun! And especially when you consider Dramamine (it's a synthetic tropane I do believe) is a drug for upset stomach relief.

Well that's my 2c I guess. I'm old, I have a family and grown up responsibilities. Back in the day i tried my share of whatever i could get my hands on. The only drugs I do anymore are pot and beer. BUT IF I were to have the opportunity to check off two more substances from my 'never tried it list' I'd pick heroin and belladonna (or Dramamine). I know the later is just asking for trouble but what can I say? Danger IS my middle name :)
