Being polite to the cops?

WOW I am shocked! We actually have a admitted police officer on the board. Dont git me wrong I know that some cops probably snoop on this site, but the fact that this guy/gal admitted to his/her profession AMAZES me.

Welcome *thiscop4plur*. I hope that yoo can really learn something from this website here. From whut I gather yoo seem to be a pretty open minded person unlike *ahem* most cops ive run into. Um..thas bout it HeH.

I try to respect everyone, but I have had thousands of dollars worth of property stolen from me several times, and dispite the fact that I knew exactly who stole it everytime (they used my cell to call thier friends so we could trace the call in one case, in another an aquantience just plain ripped me off) the police would not do a fucking thing. However they were more than happy to congregate outside of a totally non, violent party and systematically harass some of the nicest peaceful fun loving ravers that I have ever met. WTF? I am at a loss as to why anyone would care if I feel a little lightheaded or happyier than normal when i go dancing...why do you care??? Im am sorry that you cops a have a bad rep, but where i live I have never been treated decently by a cop and I am not even a minority. It is my opinion that the very nature of the profession attracts people who are on power-trips and makes for law enforcement officers that enjoy bullying people and look down on basically everyone. I didnt always dislike cops...you have earned that reputation with me.

fruitbat, next time you get a chance walk up to an officer and start a conversation. you might find that he/she is pretty cool. i don't judge everyone one who is a postal worker, firefighter, congresswoman, college student, doctor, lawyer (boy that one was tough to say), car salesman, restaurant manager, cpa... the same way. i wait until i get to know them and that's all that i ask of you and everyone else.
