Opinions please. I for one, think it's extremely shameful, especially when you are unaware, and vunerable. Though I tend to see.more videos of this kind on a regular basis.

For some people I understand its an amusing thing, but what.about the person under the influence? Doesnt seem at all fair, to take pleasure in recording someone, purely for your own amusment.

Suppose it depends on the company you keep. Don't do drugs around the kind of people who'll happily video you and upload it to YouTube?
 
If a vid of me gets played during my trial, of my police interview i will want the floor to open up, i have a vague recollection of a camera filming it :|

Ok cool man, i have memories of being held up in my chair by a pig and being told to look up at it and then when my mug shot was being taken i had a pig holding me up,

Anyway you're prob right, it's just im not sure how much the Irish judicial system differs to the uk system.
 
Some years ago I had a epileptic fit and subsequent seizure and was obviously completely dazed and disorentiented. When I started to come around, bystanders thought I was aggressive and on drugs so police was fetched and arrivfed before the ambulance did. I was forced to the ground and got a baton pushed in my neck (cutting off my airway) and arm turned near to breaking point. I had lost some clothing in the process and looked like utter confused shit. When I was thrown in their van, there were TWO cunts sitting there with their mobile phones snapping pictures of me and laughing. Fucking lowlife.
 
True about the Irish/UK thing but I'm still pretty sure.

And yes, mugshots. I hope you look at them differently on the news now when they show people looking shite or psychotic etc. Never taken at the best of times and sometimes with a copper's knee or fist surreptitiously out of view inflicting some pain (it happens). Or sometimes just holding you up so you don't collapse. :D

Lol, tbh the state I was in they could of had a knee or fist digging into me to 'cooperate' but in all honesty i think it was merely to keep me upright so I wouldn't keel over lol
 
In the UK the accused testimony is always given in person in court unless the accused is unable to leave prison for extraordinary circumstances. Statements or interviews given under questioning are gone through in court by transcript. Only children give video evidence, well, and some other 'vulnerable' groups like undercover cops and the SAS. 8(

Videos from police stations just aren't used, probably aren't even admissible for some reason, for being prejudicial I'd guess.

EDIT And...if you are not in a fit state to be interviewed, then your interview is not admissable either in the UK. If that video really shows you fucked out of your nut while being interviewed by the filth I'd get your lawyer looking into that.

^^ that is what I am hoping is the case here too,

I was beyond fucked, like talking to people that weren't there, a cocktail of benzos and opiates n a gram of mephedrone snorted 'to stay awake' put me into a walking dreamstate (Not my brightest moment in my years on this planet)

The evidence I gave should be thrown out, although my solicitor said, had i not given them a thing, what they found would be admissible as evidence anyway so I'd still be in this situation :|
 
I have a video on my phone atm of a old mate after going "mad" on gear, I ONLY filmed it just to show him how strange he goes as he has no memory of his antics.
I've had the same thing done to me too but it was done in a piss take way when I was mashed on Salvia & also mxe, I will be honest I felt violated when it was passed around our social group & if it ever went up on Youtube I would be grabbing my Taser & dishing out some goddamn lessons in manners.

He's a cunt when it comes to drug cases. He pretty much tried to humiliate me in front of the whole court..... saying it was people like me, who buy drugs, that fund these criminal gangs who commit murders!!!
I was only up for an eighth of hash! & it was actually very nice polm, not shitty soapbar sourced from those "criminal gangs"!

Cunt made me donate €700 to a drug treatment centre!
 
I think it's really messed up when law enforcement is involved, like on the show 'COPS' we have in the US. It's one thing if people see that you got high/drunk one time, but it's another thing for them to know that you got arrested for it and likely have a criminal record now.

A friend of mine was watching that one night and saw a guy he worked with completely out of his mind, getting arrested and taken to jail. On monday he asked the guy if he was on 'COPS' the other night, and he admitted it in a way that showed he had been asked about it 100x already and was completely ashamed.

The guy was normally very quiet and reserved, but it turns out that his doctor put him on a benzo for sleep, and he had taken it not knowing anything about it, and went out for a drink or two after work. Well, as many of us know (and have personal experience with) he ended up waking up in a jail cell with no recollection of how he got there. I guess the only good thing that came from the video was that if offered some explanation for how get got locked up, but I'm sure he would trade that for it not being video taped and put on television.

Had the same thing with me.
Over here in the UK on a TV channel called Pick TV they show loads of cop shows every day & I've seen a mate of mine on there off his nut on Benzo's, gear & booze getting nicked in the same kinda way.

Sadly it cost him his job & even now several years later he still gets cussed etc for it, I think it's really bad as it gets shown quite regular & he will have to live with that for the rest of his life.
