Not on a train, sadly.
I have only come across PCP once in my life, and when I did, it came in a most unusual form. Now, I know that this will sound a lot like a tell-me-what-I-have-which-I-dont-know-and-expect-you-to-know-over-the-net thread, but trust me, it isnt (well it is, but I'm not asking for drug ID, more like familiarity with materials) :D.

Now, I don't care if this is not Phenylcyclohexylpiperadine - the point is that, whatever it was, it was a moderately long-acting, potent, and strong (subjectively) Dissociative Anaesthetic (and as some of you know, I take this term very seriously). It seems to have all the properties of PCP, including smell. So lets assume it is PCP, or at least an analogue of it. But take a look at this, if you will:

The "dust" I had came as a bright green putty. It is maleable, sticky (moreso cohesive than adhesive), and it seems to discolour to yellow with heat, and go back to green when cold! (note that the discolouration does not seem to affect potency). It does not seem to vapourize - when I tried it with aluminum foil, the thing turned brown (eventually black) and smelled minty but no visible vapour was liberated. It does not seem soluble in either water or isopropanol! (I could only ever get effects from it by swallowing it - trying it sublingually releases a horrendous minty flavour but does not seem to dissolve). I tried smoking it by directly applying heat. It seems to have some effect, but it does not seem to be an efficient way.

What the hell could this material be? Or is this how PCP freebase is supposed to behave??

Thanks for any input, and if mods feel this thread is inapropriate, please feel free to move/close/delete. I posted it here because I was hoping to get feedback from people who have experience with chemistry, rather than general street knowledge because I am aware that silly putty is not exactly the most popular drug cut...

I have read in obvious locations that PCP does indeed have a pleasant minty smell although no proof to back this up. While PCP should be white, I am not familiar with what te reason might be for your colored impurities. Also if the taste upon burning is somewhat causic then you might have a mono N-alkyl product.

The monoalkylated amine products should be soluble in alcohol. Is it possible that the stuff is a potent analogue that has been cut with something like a minty glucose type paste in order to try to mimic PCP? Best way to find out would be to sort out a dose then add it to alcohol or water & shake every couple of hours over the space of a couple of days. Any active drug compound should slowly diffuse into the solvent, which can then be taken orally as usual. If the solvent extract after that time has no effect, then I'm at a total loss, but I'd imagine it would work.

You have my sympathies - I wish dealers etc would find a decent vechile/agent to cut a potent drug with that they'd experimented with first to make sure it didn't end up like the silly putty stuff you mention - I suppose that's asking way too much though 8)
